I know, we pay $9000 in after tax money for healthcare not counting deductibles of over 10k.
We paid over 30k in taxes last year and we have one child because the second would be unaffordable.
If we were broke or illegal we would be making free money, healthcare, free additional kids and so forth.
Remember, there is 26% real unemployment and we are really in another Great Depression. This one has the Treasury and social programs doubling the national debt trying to get by.

Cost my son $675 a month to add his son to his insurance plan at work with a $5,000 deductible - same amount it would have cost to add ten kiddos. I found out that if I claim him as a dependent, he would be eligible for Texas Medicaid and taxpayers would foot the entire cost. Not something that my conscience would allow me to do though but probably a lot of other people would.

Is that in CA? You have to move. I live in MA and even with our commie care, it’s not that bad.
