I have no idea of what is going on but I would bet my mortgage payment that they did not go through the exact same thing the guys did.
In other words the whole class failed but PC forces them to “graduate” 2 of them anyway
Of course not. Sounds like they got a bunch of chances too
Active Duty ping.
Students moved through the Darby Phase, the Mountain Phase, and then finally to the Swamp Phase in Florida near Eglin Air Force Base, where 40 students and four instructors were placed in the hospital after being struck by lightning. “
Does every class get struck by lightning?
DK
Yes, getting struck by lightning is part of the Florida phase.
If so, they are sure enough some tough individuals. ;-)
What Ranger School class did you go through?
I attended college on an athletic scholarship. I would not even think of going through Ranger school.
On the other hand, I could run faster than any woman in the world.
” I would bet my mortgage payment that they did not go through the exact same thing the guys did.”
Throw my Range Rover in the pot. I’ll take that bet..

I agree.
My hat is off to them-even though they failed out and got “restart” ( of the men who failed Darby-how many got a “bye” and allowed to restart?).
Even with a mulligan ( which would allow the gals to recheck their motivation and get a running start the second time through), it was tough. I did not make it as a young 24 YO marathoner/triathlete and seasoned Infantryman-broke a leg. Never went back and don’t regret it!
Have the standards been lowered? I doubt it. Telling a Ranger to “take it easy” just doesn’t fly.
Regards
And you were a Ranger when?
And if you are retired and still making mortgage payments I don't think you should be making desparaging remarks about women who have achieved something you have never achieved.
I don’t get the point of having them go through all of that, several times, announcing that they passed, awarding them the tab, and then cutting them out of joining the regiment.
“I was not a Ranger, didn’t want to try, and everyone I ever knew who was said it was the toughest thing they ever experienced.”
At 19years old I’m sure it was. But if girls can do it,
then it it cant be that big a deal now can it.
The new feminized U.S. Army where the troops really are
pu$$13s. It’s so sad you have to laugh because the reality
is just a joke.
If they passed selection, put them in the Regiment. They wanted it, they should get it.
Ain’t Affirmative Action wonderful!
Pray America is waking
I don’t know about today’s Ranger School but years ago when I was at the Naval Academy, the obstacle course was not the same for the women:
- men’s wall was 8 feet, women’s wall 6 ft
-the women were permitted to run around several obstacles
-the women were permitted to use steps to go up some obstacles
Some midshipmen did a recon mission one night and painted the women’s obstacles pink. A few years later the obstacle course was removed and no longer part of the physical fitness grading.
