Donald Trump stuns with his new immigration policy
Boston Herald ^ | 8/17/15 | Kimberly Atkins

GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump is doubling down on his stance against illegal immigration with a bombshell policy paper that calls for forcing Mexico to foot the cost of a border wall by impounding the money undocumented workers send home, while ending birthright citizenship for the American-born children of non-citizen parents.

“Mexico’s leaders have been taking advantage of the United States by using illegal immigration to export the crime and poverty in their own country” while illegal workers send millions back the country in remittances, the paper states. “In short, the Mexican government has taken the United States to the cleaners. They are responsible for this problem, and they must help pay to clean it up.”

Trump detailed that and other immigration plans, in an immigration policy position paper released yesterday, the first policy statement released by Trump’s campaign. It includes a call to tighten the political asylum standards, to divert money to what he called a “refugee program for American children” in poor, unsafe neighborhoods.

Trump’s policy centers on three principles: building a wall at the Mexican border; increasing enforcement measures such as mandatory deportation of “all criminal aliens” and ending birthright citizenship; and prioritizing American workers through measures including restricted legal immigration.

But it stops short of calling for all of the estimated
11 million undocumented immigrants in the country to be deported — a position Trump has repeatedly taken in recent weeks in interviews and on the campaign stump.

The policy drew bipartisan criticism.

“It’s based on scare tactics and nativist thinking,” said
Fergus Cullen, a New Hampshire Republican strategist and co-founder of the national immigration reform advocacy group Americans by Choice.

What other candidate running for president has said “deport all illegals” ? None that I've seen.

I meant the candidates running. I never heard a candidate running for president say this nor anything else on my list.

What have the other politician candidates actually done as in passing conservative legislation or even stopping Obama? none of the politicians have done anything except advance the Obama agenda as in Obama trade(more immigrations) and the Iran deal

All this because the politicians are owned by big donors , lobbyists and foreign interests. Trump is not owned

Hey too late! They are all lying politicians saying what they think will get them elected.

Why does it take Trump to say something for the others to finally start talking about it?

The answer should be obvious.

I’ve used “Go White, Go Right, or Go Home 2016” as a tag line on and off for a few years. Great minds think alike.

But seriously...

I know lots of Reagan Democrats. I lived among them in Boston in the 80s. It’s hard to understate how much they hate the Country Clubbers.

What I’ve learned in the past couple of years, living in a State whose dying GOP is clubber-owned and operated is how much clubbers disdain Reagan Democrats. Most GOP Clubbers would rather lose an election than appeal to Reagan Democrats.

Trump, perhaps without realizing it, is now serving up realignment. The New Party member can pledge loyalty to all 3 principles of his immigration white paper:

1) A nation without borders is not a nation
2) A nation without laws is not a nation
3) A nation that does not serve its own citizens is not a nation

Most Clubbers will choke on #3. They are (economically) World Citizens. Many of them realize, or even hope, that a World Government (including them, of course) will follow a global economy.

Trump supporters are not World Citizens. The GOPe is composed, to a significant degree, of World Citizens. The two cannot and will not coexist in a single party. Of course, expressed that way, the GOPe is a tiny minority, operating in collaboration with their Friends Across the Aisle™ who are also World Citizens. Trump’s campaign, again perhaps unintentionally, is pulling aside the curtain.

So, we have a rough twelve months ahead of us. And an unknown outcome is anathema to politicians.

I haven’t had this much fun since 1967-68. Burn, baby, burn!

“Trump has reignited the GOP’s longstanding obsession with mass deportation,” said Pablo Manriquez, Democratic National Committee director of Hispanic media, in a statement. “Like his fellow GOP candidates Jeb Bush, Scott Walker, Marco Rubio and others, GOP front-runner Trump dismisses a full and equal pathway to citizenship for hardworking immigrants.”

How I wish all were on the same page. All politicians with law degrees wouldn't know what to do with themselves.

Hey, I was feeding my sister's moose some cheese and my beeber went batshit.

So don't make light of this, it's very revealing.

I'll be in the shower.

(I wonder just what some people that are uninformed about this "speak" actually think about it?)

Thanks, al baby.

I don’t think he or his kind likes to hear the truth about this issue. If Trump or Cruz is able to get the Hispanic vote, that wall will be built pronto especially after 0 made it so that illegals can vote one way or another using his usual bag of tricks....

They're not saying it because it's not going to happen...Trump's already folding too....you can get all excited about what he says but I caution to ‘wait’ this out...This is all about taking our government back the issues are secondary..........and Trumps not alone in this...all the issues are being said simply to placate the media's persistence, and planned for. Pick a candidate you like but I'd advise people to watch this unfold before determining their guy...it's still early.

“Most GOP Clubbers would rather lose an election than appeal to Reagan Democrats.”

Yea, and my BIGGEST FEAR right now is not Trump failing to get the nomination - that’s pretty much a done deal now, but the Republican Establishment deciding that it’s better to lose with Hillary than win with Trump, and thus running a Third Party conservative candidate to try to bleed off Trump support...which is exactly what they did when Oliver North got the Senate nomination in Virginia - and he lost because of that.

So, in the end, it really should be TRUMP asking Republican candidates and especially GOP leaders whether they’ll actually support him in November, once the formalities of nominating him are over.

Trump cannot deport mothers and their children....the constitution protects them from that, their children are citizens if born here. ...it’s constitutional law...

...“Democrats have opened our borders to all manner of horrific Third World violence, crime, and disease. The GOP has supported and endorsed this vile activity every single step of the way. Trump has tapped into the fury of the American people over the unrelenting anti-American NWO push of our paid employees in government. Trump could win this on this one issue alone. Americans are tired of being betrayed by their government on both sides of the aisle.”...

I don not trust politicians and what they say.

Americans don't trust politicians.Trump is not a politician

We see that they don't do what they say they will do.

At the federal level Politicians have not passed any conservative law but instead advanced the Obama agenda as in Obama trade and the Iran deal.

do you understand that Obama is trying to help Iran make the nuclear bomb? And that all the senators but one (cotton) voted for the corker bill that will allow Obama to make the Iran deal .

Iran is going to give suitcase nukes to terrorists which the terrorists will sneak into the USA and detonate them. this is what the Senators enabled giving obama fast track power on Iran and Obama trade. but they promised they were going to stop Obama . So you want me to trust this?

These are just a few recent examples as I don't have room nor time here.

......”I don not trust politicians and what they say.
Americans don't trust politicians. Trump is not a politician”....

That is not sufficient of a reason to vote for any candidate........but don't Trust Trump either just because he's not a politician....he's conducted himself amidst them for decades. So he sure as heck knows their moves and uses them as well.

I a well aware of the Iran Deal and the Entire ME situation.... and the layout on the International Stage regarding that..... Trump has NEVER sat in at A National Security Briefing our Presidents are given........let his hair turn a couple shades lighter after just one of those and we'll see how his deals then are determined.

Jim, I could not agree with you more. I have been preaching for some time now that the Republicans are being offered a huge opportunity in trade and immigration to scoop up the Reagan Democrats, the whole of the rust belt, the whole of the coal belt for elections for a generation to come but they simply have missed the call.

Until Trump evidently has found the right notes at last. I say this even though my misgivings about Trump are real, I must concede that his recent paper on immigration is marching in the right direction. It needs sanctions against employers of illegal aliens but on the whole it is far advanced of the rest of the Republican field.

Immigration is one half of the battle, trade being the other half and I would like to see Cruz come out with as tightly a reasoned paper on the trade bill. But if Cruz does not, let Trump.

The whole Reagan coalition could be reignited. I had hoped that Ted Cruz would be the messenger but it appears that Trump seems to steal the march every day.

Yes just the announcement that we are going to start sending everyone back will motivate a lot of them to go ahead and leave. That is what happened in AZ.

“This is the kind of policy that the citizens have been wanting, but have been denied by the politicians bought off by The Cheap Labor Express.”
____________________________________________________________________________

Exactly! This citizen wants the US government to build a damn fence that is 99%+ secure (if Mejico pays for it, all the better), catch any unlucky ones who might get through, then drop them back on the Mexico side of the fence with a bottle of agua fria. Adios Amigo! Too bad if some never make it home; this will discourage others from trying to get in.

Then, place severe penalties (major fines & possible imprisonment) on any US businesses hiring illegals, outlaw this sanctuary city idiocy, and retroactively revoke citizenship of children born to illegals.

Finally, start rounding up all these illegals for deportation to their home countries (law enforcement can start in every community by visiting homes that being built or renovated; these hombres paint, install carpeting & flooring, do landscaping, carpentry, roofing, etc., etc...); use the US military for transport after photographing, fingerprinting, and DNA sampling. Might take some time, but eventually problem solved...Hasta La Vista Baby!

Last but not least, we need a federal law requiring voter ID for all elections. The DIMS don’t even hide the fact that they want illegals voting, pulling that D lever! The Democrat party is truly shameful!

Ahhh, feel better now...
