This isn’t the question. The question is how does this end up implying full blown citizenship.

That question has to go to the Supremes. I don't think Trump will be able to anything about it himself. I imagine that the court as configured today would rule citizenship.

Yes, like it ruled “gay marriage.” Trump is going to need a chapter in his plan dealing with how to get such eight balls out of the way.

And it’s also possible that law could be amended. What, for example, currently excludes the children of foreign ambassadors physically born here? It isn’t a constitutional thing. It has to be a law thing.
