Great post, and true. Imagine if a middle-class American citizen, from say, 1959, was transported to 2015 America & seen what we are living through ? The craziest “Twilight Zone” episode could not paint a picture as sick as what happened to our nation.
I graduated from 8th grade in 1959, and I'm about the same age as Trump. Our generation doesn't need a time machine. We remember the promise of our future and the nation we thought would still exist for future generations. When Trump says "make America great again" he's resonating with us folks approaching or past age 70 who are in stunned disbelief about how quickly the US has changed.
FWIW, I would imagine that Trump's numbers are phenomenal from his peer age group. We get it why he'd tried to restore the US, so his children and grandchildren (and everyone else's) can get our nation back.
