Fresh blasts have been reported at the Tianjin site which was earlier rocked by explosions at a chemical warehouse killing dozens.
The latest explosions were heard on Saturday, 15 August, sending plumes of smoke into the sky, state news agency Xinhua reported. Fresh fires broke out worsening the situation.
Though the fire appeared to have been controlled, smouldering wreckage three days after the initial explosions on Wednesday, 12 August has caused concern. At least 85 people, including 21 firefighters, have been killed and hundreds of others injured.
All inhabitants within a 3km radius have been evacuated. Many of them have been shifted to makeshift camps in nearby localities amid fears over the spread of toxic chemicals in the area.

That frigging place is crazy.
Oh! Well!.. Mao murdered many millions and made a billion miserable..
AND many in Washington D.C. are Maoists.. many types of murderous socialists..
The Chinese overseers will lose no sleep at all.. not even a wink..
Actually they may be GLAD when people die of WHATEVER..
Means more for everybody else.. in China they have one Pie.. not a clue how to make more pies.. that’s capitalism..
Socialism/Fascism (same thing) is a political disease..
China doesn’t air it’s dirty laundry to the public. I wonder what really is going on.
Hyundai is Korean.
Capitalism and communism are not mutually exclusive. China practices the money-grubbing amoral variety of capitalism. It fits very harmoniously with their amoral money-grubbing communism.
Someone said Chinese residents claim up to 500 dead. Firefighters were probably all vaporized during that original explosion too. Chicoms estimating the numbers real low.
My Chinese contacts say 1,000 dead.
Especially when the ruling class consider their citizens as cogs in the machine to be used as they please.
I hope that isn’t true.
But from the limited information it easily could be. It was a huge explosion and nasty chemicals and fire rained down on a large area.
From the overheads of the area - all those multistory buildings blasted - I’d say that 1000 may be conservative as well. Not counting those vaporized ...
If those were office buildings, they may have been pretty empty as it was late at night.

This guy has followed the explosions pretty well- according to him, 700 tons of cyanide was stored on site.
I wonder how many people who survived the explosion - maybe they were even a good distance away from it - but they were exposed to a toxic brew of who knows what and there might be a lot of people getting very ill or dying from that alone.
Early on it was reported to be a toxic waste storage facility. I don’t know if that’s true. But if it was, that explains a lot...
Logic says they don’t have a clue how many are dead.
What a mess. I’d get as far away from that place as possible.
This
If those high rises were dormitories of workers stacked up in tiny rooms then many were incinerated instantly and others would be gassed when the water and chemicals sent off cyanide gas
Before censorship kicked in saw a Twitter feed of 2 workers who claimed to be sole survivors of 2000 man dormitory, many foreigners or from outlying areas of China
