At first blush, this appears a very racist statement, especially in today’s “perpetually offended” atmosphere.
But, I tend to look at hosepipe’s post as indicative of what American politics has devolved to; Win or go home. Governing is not the goal...only winning is and the winner will take of governing as best he/she can.
Since, in hosepipe’s estimation, another candidate of color -in either party- cannot “bring home the trophy”, he will not vote for a candidate of color. Again, it is a mentality of “win at all costs and let the resulting chips fall where they may”.
Ask yourself, why is Brady being so well [pun unintended] protected by his fans?
Allen West and Obama have one thing he common: their dark skin...
To equate him in any other way is wrong and borders on racism...
To put it another way, if West was the nominee and Romney had won over Obama, in 2012, the color of his skin would be a factor in voting for him in 2016 ?
