Chris Wallace on Trump: ““I Don’t Think He Particularly Likes Tough Questions....
Fox News Radio ^ | August 13, 2015 | Kilmeade and Friends

Posted on 08/13/2015 3:00:00 PM PDT by Mozilla

Chris Wallace, anchor of Fox News Sunday, spoke with Kilmeade & Friends about his debate questions to Donald Trump. Wallace also weighed in on the use of phone interviews on Sunday shows.

Wallace’s reaction to Trumps criticism of his debate questions:

“I don’t think he particularly likes tough questions…they were tough questions and I don’t apologize for anything I asked.”

On the bankruptcy question:

“You can’t ask him about his voting record, you can’t ask him about his record as governor of a state because all he has is his business record. It’s a little unusual he was involved in four bankruptcies where people lost billions of dollars and thousands of jobs…. It would be like having Mitt Romney and not asking him about Bain Capital.”

Wallace on those who don’t take Trump seriously:

“I take Trump absolutely seriously and all these people who think this is just a summer fling and he is just going to go away… republicans who are saying that are dopes.”

Wallace on Trump doing phoners & on the reports that Trump might be snubbing his show after the debate:

“The idea you would do a phoner with a presidential candidate where they have all the control and you have none, where you can’t see them and they may have talking points in from of them…we are not a call in radio show, we are a Sunday talk show and he is a presidential candidate, you do an interview on camera. As far as Trump doing Chuck Todd and not me, we invited him, they said he wasn’t available, I guess he was available to someone else, we’ll survive.”

There are several kinds of bankruptcies.

One is debt restructure in order to NOT complete a bankruptcy. Trump had these. He never completed one bankruptcy
No “thousands” of jobs were ever lost.

He never liquidated a company. Trump could sue Wallace for slander/defamation and it would be Wallace, NOT Trump who would be “liquidated”.

No, he didn’t liquidate. At least I didn’t think he had. Under a debt restructure, do they write down some debt, or just remake the loan at different terms?

Trying to find out if he wound up paying everything back.

” Under a debt restructure, do they write down some debt, or just remake the loan at different terms?”

It can be either one, or both. The fact is, Wallace told one BIG whopper. Time will tell if he gets away with it or not. Trump will NOT forget this one.

You know what, go for it Donald.

Why should he let them get away with it?

“and they may have talking points in from of them”

In front not in from.

Anyhow, Wallace is claiming he doesn’t have a TelePrompTer?

I would have guessed your answer, but I’m glad to see you say what I thought you would.

As a commercial real estate broker, I dealt with numerous Ch 11(reorganization) bankruptcies. Most don’t ever move into liquidation, as a property has to have assets that exceed liabilities in order to qualify for the CH 11 in the first place. Mr. Wallace F’d up big time, and I predict he will rue the day, now or in the future.

Your examples are valid ones insofar as interviews or issues are concerned, but I was talking about questions to CANDIDATES. Do you think she would go after Hillary Rodham Clinton, the queen of American politics, the same way she lit into Trump and Cruz, with the same snarky tone and same aggressive line of questioning?

Her job was to moderate a debate in an unobtrusive, professional manner so as to help the American voting public to gain some insights into how a potential next president views problems facing the nation, find out what their political priorities are, and get a feel for how they would go about solving problems. Instead Team Kelly took the low road in a sophomoric and uninformative attempt to play gotcha with the candidates all night long.

Again, this type of performance against Democrat candidates would have been met with severe criticism and charges of political bias against her by every liberal media outlet in the country. Ms. Kelly knew she could do a hit and run job on the Republicans but I seriously doubt that she would risk widespread opprobrium by the liberal media.

There’s nothing wrong with asking tough questions. But Team Kelly wasn’t doing that. They were a one-sided firing squad.

Fu Chris.

Why don’t you go back and ask him some tough questions?

Policy would have been a good start....

Bair was a party to it all.. he got quiet.. wise.. BUT; he not “innocent” either..

Baier's questions were the least inflammatory.

He did ask the hand-raising question, but that could have been assigned to him given its nature.

He asked the Bush dynasty question to Bush.

He asked Christie about his financial management of New Jersey.

He asked Paul about blaming Republicans for ISIS.

He asked Trump about his past support for Obamacare.

He asked Huckabee, Carson, and Bush if goverment was too big to shrink.

He asked Bush about his support for Common Core, and then asked Rubio to respond.

Then he asked Waker, Paul, and Huckabee to comment on the Iran deal.

Then he asked Trumped about an Iranian General violating a travel ban by going to Russia.

He asked Cruz about Russian cyber-attacks on the Pentagon.

He asked Carson about chemical weapons in Syria and would he would use troops to respond.

He asked Walker if he would defend an attack on NATO.

He asked Huckabee about gays in the military.

He asked Paul about financial aid to Israel, and then asked Christie to follow up.

He did cut off Cruz from answering as they hit a commercial break.

true.. Bair wasn’t that bad.. but he was “THERE”... wherever there was..

Maybe he was chosen to give Fox a conservative patina.. maybe not..
But he was there.. he knew the other two were DRONES....
If his job was on the line (one thing) if he is faux conservative (another)..

I’m watching him closely. now.. I trust him NOT..
Kelly came out of the closet as a Whore.. Wallace always was liberal like Kraut Pounder and G.Wills..

Chris Wallace is not asking tough questions of Trump! Wallace is all about himself! He’s the reason why I don’t watch news shows! Theatrics without substance! Game show host is what he and Meg prove to be in the first National GOP debate! Without Fox giving him or what’s her face the platform.. What has Wallace or Meg done in the name of journalism? Exactly...blank!
