2009: Trump was praising Obama to the hilt for saving the economy from Republicans

I just googled that, and...wow, you're right:

The new president is trying. Bush left him with a mess -- a total mess in many different ways. I really think he's doing the best he can, but it is trial and error.

I'm sure the Trumpettes will be here shortly to explain....

As bad as things are, I’m sure they could be made worse — if the wrong person takes the Oval Office.

At least you missed the point honestly. Whenever someone is as far off as you were, it’s hard not to suspect they really got the point, but are just jerking people around by pretending to miss it.

First of all, it’s a two step point. The first step is a proper assessment of the problem—in this case, the problem being, ‘just how bad off is the country?’

Trump says the country is going to hell. Ok, that’s One, accurate, and Two, a good start. I.e.: you can’t fix a problem if you are unable to diagnose it. [A Dr who diagnoses cancer as indigestion will certainly fail in treating the problem.]

Now here is an honest question. Can you name and quote for me one other candidate who has accurately diagnosed the problem? If you can, we’ll proceed to the second half of the original point.

Agree. America is already toast.

We were 50/50 before Obama. With 10 million new illegal immigrants getting green cards and on path to voting, we are toast.

Controlling the media and education is how libs destroyed us. Once they had the ability to ridicule and mold young minds, they DEFINED the culture.

Just look at the huge amount of hostility at Fox. That’s ONE network giving a different perspective from the liberal elite.

Were they motivated by money or ratings as they say they are, there’d be a competing Fox News Channel.

Leftists also flee the hell holes they create. California. The wealthy liberal Brits leaving that entire country to rot.

They’re like a plague of locusts bringing the destruction they flee within them.

Well, I’m Jewish, so....

I was, too, for about 2 years around the year 2000.

I was raised Roman Catholic, but it was a really weird religion (I recognized that praying to dead people was really weird -- you only pray to God!), so I left. I found out my Dad, who had left when I was three, was Jewish. So I semi-converted.

I was the only Jewish former-Altar-Boy you were ever going to meet.

Regardless, leaving Jesus aside for the moment, I think we can both agree that anyone else who shows up at the morgue trying to raise the dead is crazy.

Still cannot agree. Armed with the proper nanotechnology (available in 40-100 years), I could easily raise people from the dead.

And Jeb Bush can win? And do what? Cruz can’t win right now, he can’t even win primaries (and I love Cruz I truly do.) If we do not unit behind Trump we will have Bush. And if we have Bush we have President Hillary. Bush is the divider of this party, he is the one who needs to get out of the way. Trump/Cruz is an ideal winning ticket, in fact I think Cruz is Trump’s best choice as VP, Texas is a large state. As the VP candidate Cruz gets huge exposure, he becomes a national figure, if Trump wins and does begin to make some positive changes, Cruz will be president in 4-8 years. If Bush runs, Hillary wins, and we are a Marxist state for a very long time, and the world descends into a very dark age. Trump is far from perfect, he will do things I don’t like — heck Reagan said and did things I did not like — but he really is our only chance right now to wrest control of the GOP from the global elitists who control the party now, and with them in control we will continue with worthless losers, McCain, Romney, and now Bush.

“Or at least shouldn’t be.”

Unfortunately, this is exactly where we are today! We’re just one more GOPee “crap sandwich candidate” from extinction.

Agree. America is already toast democrats took control of the media and then imported 55 million 3rd world leftist immigrants into the USA. With these 2 weapons they moved the USA to left so much so that a socialist sanders is getting huge crowds. with 10 million more leftist immigrants arriving in the next 10 years as you said we are toast. In 10 years Sanders will the candidate on the right.so America is toast.

So what options do we Americans have, move to another country, revolution , cW2, succession, what, Constitutional convention, what??

How many times must it be said, Trump is not a conservative. I am not going to unite behind a guy who thinks singer payer healthcare in Canada is doing great and socialized medicine in Scotland is just terrific - his words.

We have a couple good candidates - none without flaws, but at least they are conservative. Cruz is a solid conservative in almost every way and he is charismatic and if Trump the clown weren’t in the race sucking up all the oxygen Cruz would probably doing better (in my opinion).

I’d be happy to unite around Cruz, maybe even Walker who has shown he can fight and defeat public sector unions in a blue state, but no way will I support Trump the anti intellectual populist.

Saying that, IF Trump were to win the GOP nomination I WOULD vote for him in the general. I assume he will be better than any Democrat (though Trump was one not so long ago). So yes, I’d vote for him if he wins the nomination (which is very unlikely) - thats about as much unity I can offer. At least I am not doing like many Trumpsters and crying and whining and claiming they’ll write Trumps name in or vote 3rd party if their guy isn’t the nominee.

Oh Laz, Jesus loves everybody.

His Dad is the guy you gotta look out for.

But hey, if hit it as much as they say you hit it, there will be an army of babes coming to testify on your behalf on Judgment Day.

:-D

America is gone. Only the name remains.

I disagree. You could have said America was gone a year into the Civil War, but the North kept fighting (right or wrong) and America eventually recovered. You could have said France was gone in 1942, but the Resistance kept fighting, and France was eventually restored. America today is in far worse shape than either of those two situations, but it's still recoverable. I'm a former Scout, "be prepared", so I'm ready if too many of us choose not to work for freedom. However, I am not willing to give up.

There is still a slim chance that we can peacefully restore freedom in November of 2016, despite the inevitable and massive Democrat vote fraud. There is a bigger chance that we can restore freedom through means other than a free and at least somewhat fair election. I'm on the side of one or the other, not just giving up.
