There were no identifiable corporate interests in the room. Attendees seemed to be individual contributors, and a very few party people willing to buck the establishment. The Pierce County Chair was there, for example.
Cruz made several good points and jokes in support of the First and Second Amendments.
Approximately, “I cooked some bacon on the barrel of an automatic rifle the other day. The beltway hacks thought I had alienated middle America. How is that possible? Middle America loves guns and bacon!”

Cruz was brilliant and very human. His stump speech is humorous and great.
But when he gets off script, he is absolutely incandescent. Off the cuff he is BETTER than when he’s delivering stock speaking points. He’s more fluid, more animated, more pointed, and extremely accurate and hard hitting.
GREAT CANDIDATE!

My 95 year old Grandmother really likes Ted Cruz despite the endless manipulations of my liberal family members.
She said she likes him but doesn’t know if my aunt will let her vote for him. Naturally this made me madder than hell so I told her that I would go out there when her ballot arrives and just sit quietly while she votes the way she wishes to vote and answer any questions she has. When she’s done voting I’ll take it to the post office myself no matter how she votes.
Thanks for the follow-up, Miltie, it must of been a great time.
Cruz is always ready with an answer, he doesn’t even have to think about it, no stumbling, fumbling, or stuttering he knows exactly what he thinks about every important issue and goes into detail, it is most amusing to see how when interviewed and asked gotcha questions he very calmly, with a smile and without hesitation he makes the interviewer look like a fool.
For that reason I think he seldom gets interviewed, they didn’t even want to ask him questions in the debate, it seems he is in the MSM persona non grata, not that it matters he doesn’t need them.
I was not. A wee bit discouraged that my help doesn’t seem to be wanted.
In fairness to the Cruz Campaign, they have to focus on the early races that make or break them, which do not include Washington.
So, we’re a funding source at this time.
Later, if Cruz is still in by the time our Primary / Caucus comes along, he’ll have to ramp the ground game in an instant. See you then!
Thank you so much for your report and pictures! Sure wish I could have been there. As someone mentioned up thread, I don’t go into Seattle much anymore either. I used to like to go to the Pike Place Market to buy fresh spices and herbs, but it’s too much a hassle as far as I’m concerned anymore. I did take my nephew to the Science Center a few years ago and we rode the monorail and did the Ducks (his first time for both). Outside of going to 1 or 2 Seahawks games per year (GO HAWKS!), I don’t bother - can get what I need out here in the burbs.
Cruz would be a great President. I’ve called hi office a couple of times offering my support and told them that I adopted him as my Senator as he represents me much better than the 2 senators from WA State ( did the same to Senator Jeff Sessions office).
To wrap up the thread, I received a personal call from Ted Cruz’s MOTHER thanking me for my contribution. Live call. Not a robo-call. I have it on Voicemail.
:-)
Cruz is a Class Act.
