Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes revealed details Monday evening about his phone call with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

“Donald Trump and I spoke today,” he said in a statement provided to TheBlaze.

“We discussed our concerns, and I again expressed my confidence in Megyn Kelly. She is a brilliant journalist and I support her 100 percent,” he added. “I assured him that we will continue to cover this campaign with fairness & balance. We had a blunt but cordial conversation and the air has been cleared.

There's a picture circulating around with Ms. Kelly walking down the aisle pre-debate. If you haven't seen it.

**************
I saw that. Looked like a jaunty strut. Pure hubris.

Team Kelly is in a box now. They would have been well served by acknowledging the validity of some of the criticism from their audience, but they won't because they are locked into their own image of infallibility. They decided to circle the wagons and in so doing engendered even more criticism. Bad move by supposedly “smart people”.

He has a long and strong reputation for not going along to get along.

The guy has made more money than he can spend, why would anyone think he would sell out?

So how much time did Trump give Fox today as compared to other networks?

Not necessarily. There was an article last week's about Chris Wallace walking around with a binder, claiming that he had some zingers in there. I believe they wrote those questions themselves. I want to know who reviewed them and supported that farce of a debate format.

Fox was following the GOPe formula for making a big tent to attract more viewers/voters. They totally abandoned their base, infuriated their base, and have now lost their base as they ignored the viewers who brought them to the dance and instead went whole hog on trying to win over libs, women’s libs, Latinos, blacks and other LIV’s who would/will never watch them.
GOPe = Stupid Party.

FNC = Stupid Channel.

I have been one of the most loyal “Special Report” viewers since it hit the airways; ditto Fox News Sunday with To y Snow. Just like I quit tuning in to FNS when Tony Snow left to work for W after 2000. I had a hard time going from Brit Hume but had grown to like Bret’s Pentagon reporting, so have stuck with them but have really had my eyes opened this election since
they refuse to mention Ted Cruz.

I was wondering the exact same thing.

A Republican candidate joked on TV about oral sex and was held to the fire for the joke. A Democrat candidate repeatedly condoned multiple actual sex acts in the White House and most likely never will be asked about it.
