Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes revealed details Monday evening about his phone call with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
Donald Trump and I spoke today, he said in a statement provided to TheBlaze.
We discussed our concerns, and I again expressed my confidence in Megyn Kelly. She is a brilliant journalist and I support her 100 percent, he added. I assured him that we will continue to cover this campaign with fairness & balance. We had a blunt but cordial conversation and the air has been cleared.

I actually received a reply directly from Bret Baier, which shocked me.
I replied to his response, as additional comments needed to be addressed based on his response.
I let him know I respected him for replying to me directly, but the Fox audience is owed an apology for the debacle last Thursday night, and the way it was handled.
And that Fox stays off in my home until the apology is made.
I’d like to ask Kelly if she’ll ask the following to Ms. Clinton:
Your husband had sex with a 19 year old intern in the Oval Office. He raped Juanita Broderick. He assaulted women who were trying to get jobs. You condoned his behavior. Are you the kind of person we need as president?
And a follow up, do you know what would have happened to your grandchild’s body had Chelsea CHOSE to abort her?
Good show.
I agree. The three talking heads were just that: talking heads. Those three basically just read the questions that others more important than them wrote for for them. No way was fox gonna let something as important as gining the questions be done by their teleprompter-reading “talent”.
Vote of confidence from the owner today and your azz is on the street looking for a job tomorrow.
This thing must have really rocked FNC.
You have to remember FB friends are fans. I’m sure a loss of 32,000 won’t hurt her but it had to get her attention. It’ll be interesting to see how she acts from now on. I won’t know ‘cause I don’t have cable.
We couldn’t stand her anyway so we seldom watched her show. Now we never will.
Oh just saw the photo. That’s her election night strut. She’s a real performer. Drugs or just a narcissist?
I don’t know about Fox News, but lots of other places, when the boss sez of someone, “I support him/her 100%...” It usually means the person in question is actually working on their (demanded) letter of resignation.
Maybe Roger will let her stay until Jeb offers her the Press Secretay gig in his administration. (Snicker-snort).
Did you hear the story about Jeb! getting booed at Redstate? Eric Erickson loves Jeb! but apparently conservative Americans in flyover country, not so much.
Not one drive by media goon told us, let alone ran a video clip of Jeb! getting booed. They are all in for Jeb! And they do not even try to hide their bias. How unprofessional can they get?
Any bets on how many times a clip of Cruz, Trump or Huckabee getting booed would run? They protect Jeb! They allow Hillary to herd them like cattle. With ropes!
We the People will choose our candidate this time. Not the Chamber of Commerce, not the Money, not The Sons of Murdoch. The People. Get it morons?
And how about that drive by media. Hello, media McFlys. Will it take canceling every newspaper, cable and satellite subscription to wake you dipsticks up? We can go there if you insist. /rant
The bushwhacking passed off as a debate is the issue here. Faux snooze did a hit job on the candidates and the viewers.
Yep. haha
Anybody who believes Fox is conservative is kind of a dolt. But they only helped Trump in this debate. He might as well have written the questions himself.
“we will continue to cover this campaign with fairness & balance”
*****
I don’t support Trump but that’s got to be a joke.
Fox’ll survive this. There aren’t nearly as many people upset over this as the Trumpeters would like us to believe.
Too late. It will be years, if ever, before anyone trusts Fox again.
Me too. I channel blocked it just to make sure no FOX content comes in to my space.
Josey Wales....”there ain’t no forgettin”. bye roger.
Social media can be a very effective and lighning quick counterstroke to such. No clicks, no bucks....
I can see this:
Trump: Be nice to me or I will take my 24 million viewers and go to CNN
:)
Please continue to believe this.
