In winning the Medellín v. Texas case in 06, Ted Cruz has already done more good for Americans than all the candidates combined.

As a result of that case, my state was able to legally impose our own sanctions on Iran in 2013.

>>Medellín v. Texas, 552 U.S. 491 (2008), is a United States Supreme Court decision that held that even if an international treaty may constitute an international commitment, it is not binding domestic law unless Congress has enacted statutes implementing it or unless the treaty itself is “self-executing.” Also, the Court held that decisions of the International Court of Justice are not binding domestic law and that, without authority from the United States Congress or the Constitution, the President of the United States lacks the power to enforce international treaties or decisions of the International Court of Justice.<<

in winning this case the state of Texas was legally able to execute this piece of alien filth.

>>On June 24, 1993, José Ernesto Medellín (an 18-year-old Mexican citizen) and several other gang members participated in the murder of Jennifer Ertman and Elizabeth Peña, when they raped a 14-year-old and 16-year-old girl for an hour in Houston, Texas. Both girls were killed to prevent them from identifying their assailants. Medellín strangled one of the girls with her own shoelaces. Hours after Medellin’s arrest he admitted to his part in the crime and boasted of having “virgin blood” on his underpants.<<

Its been strangely quiet but the man who murdered Brian Terry was given a plea deal yesterday that takes execution off the table.

You know, I really don't know where I was when Bush was trying to take it upon himself to rewrite state law with the Medellin case. I will admit I've become much more informed since finding FR. But back then, I didn't pay much attention.

The details of the case are enough to make you ill. Jose Medellin and his gang raped those girls every way that a female can be raped. Medellin knocked their teeth out before they were murdered. After the shoelace strangling, he stomped on one girl's neck in order to break it. The other girl was choked with a belt until the belt snapped.

Ted Cruz stood up to Bush's power grab and apparent lack of human decency. Cruz's actions had positive repercussions elsewhere, as you just posted.

And that's the man some Trump supporters say is a wimp/ needs teeth and claws/etc.

I hadn't heard about Brian Terry's murderer. He didn't even get a life sentence.

Charging them with crimes is the only way of stopping it. Defunding only changes who pays for the same activities. Makes another criminal money for selling parts.

That's what President Cruz is going to do after rescinding all of Obama's illegal and unconstitutional executive orders on the first day of his administration.

No president has that power. If falls under the judiciary department. Several states are on top of it.

All this talk about defunding is political bluster.

Both Dr Ben and DT realized it was a set up to be used as an arrow Jon the War on Women. Dr BEn by saying Isn’t that what OCare was suppose to handle (referring to the services offered other than abortion) Trump stating that those services could be funded and not fund abortion.

In true form the alarmist have used both solution as tools.

Don’t be dubbed. I love Cruz but he will be their next target and I am sure he too appreciates his friend Don

I trust Walker on this subject more then Cruz....sorry. Walker has already defunded Planned Parenthood 4 years ago. He did not use it as a political trick. Walker is the real deal on this topic.

And THAT is what we need to see, not this:

Trump on Planned Butcherhood: "I'm sure they do some things properly and good and that are good for women, and I would look at that, and I would look at other aspects also,"
