Death blow from Fox News' Megyn Kelly already taking effect on Trump [Trump @ 32% today]
Chicago Tribune ^ | aug 9 2015 | John Kass

There is no cure for the Touch of Death, or Dim Mak as it's known in those cheesy martial arts movies.

Legend and comic books tell us that it is a precise and forceful strike, with delayed yet fatal result, sometimes taking days or weeks to do its work.

It is subtle, quick, almost unseen, and usually delivered by a monk or some warrior priest with a topknot. Uma Thurman used it to great effect in "Kill Bill: Vol 2." When she was done, she flashed a smirk of wistful sadness.

That's what happened to Donald Trump's presidential campaign, which received the Touch of Death from Megyn Kelly, the warrior priestess of Fox News.

Oh, I heard it live during the phone interview with Lemmon. I did a double-take. I also laughed when the series of drunken late-night tweets went out insisting that he was talking about her “nose”.

Like I said, it’s one thing to not care about the comment, because you think that PC bs has gone too far. It’s something else entirely to pretend that the comment wasn’t about Kelly being on her period.

Trump is not a conservative, and he’s certainly not presidential. He’s made his points, and its time for him and his supporters to move on.

The way it's going, this one won't kick in until after two terms.

"Mr. Trump, when are you going to get out of the race?"

"Oh, I'm thinking about 2024."

It’s a tricky maneuver, in that his poll numbers continue to go up as they are going down, or something.

It's just the MSM and dims completely discombobulated...

More ice in the Arctic = global warming

Millions not looking for work = 5.5% unemployment rate

Education vouchers = abolish

Common Core = great education

PP videos = abortion is great

Let me ask you a question, since you’re a Trump booster.

What do you believe Trump referring to when he used the word “wherever”?

“She gets out. And she starts asking me all sorts of ridiculous questions. And you know, you could see, there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her, wherever, but she was in my opinion she was off-base.”

We came to this country in 1952 when Harry Truman was Prez. He was not one of the politically elite and was Known as “Give ‘em Hell Harry”, and we adored him and his family. This is the first nominee since showing the same chops, and where I could say, “D*mn them to Hell, Donald”!

John Kass
COLUMNIST

The son of a Greek immigrant grocer, Kass was born June 23, 1956, on Chicago's South Side and grew up there and in Oak Lawn. He held a number of jobs — merchant marine sailor, ditch digger, waiter — before becoming a film student at Columbia College in Chicago, where he worked at the student newspaper. He obtained an internship at the Daily Calumet in 1980, and ended up working there as a reporter until he left for the Tribune in 1983. He has won honors including the Society of Professional Journalists’ Sigma Delta Chi national award for general column writing, the Scripps Howard Foundation's National Journalism Award for commentary, the Chicago Headline Club's Lisagor Award for best daily newspaper columnist and the Chicago Tribune's Beck Award for writing. He lives in the western suburbs with his wife and twin sons.

Sounds like an expert in politics. /sarc

When I read None Dare Call It Treason in 1964-65, it was so startling that I read it slowly over several weeks. To me it seemed that America as we knew it could not last but a few more years. Mountains of evidence and quotations made the facts undeniable. It changed my life.

Thinking recently upon the date of its writing, it occurred to me that author John A. Stormer wrote this momentous book 50 years ago. Tribute needs to be paid here to this stalwart patriot who is now quite advanced in age. His efforts to awaken America should be recognized, appreciated, examined, and heeded by all, even at this late date.

“We came to this country in 1952 when Harry Truman was Prez. “

The same comparison that I’ve been thinking of.

Trump’s mother was a Scot (not English). I don’t know if she is still alive, but wherever she is I bet she’s proud of her fierce boy.

Glenn Beck has used that saying for years. OFTEN saying he was SOOO angered by something that he had blood spurting from his eyes.

It is a very old expression I know because I am very old.

I think cartoons used to show something similar when some one blew his stack.

Yea...I thought it was funny when I found out Sobieski was born in Lviv. Christendom certainly needs more Sobieskis today! Were you the one that sent the movie about the Winged Hussars? I really enjoyed it!
