Death blow from Fox News' Megyn Kelly already taking effect on Trump [Trump @ 32% today]
Chicago Tribune ^ | aug 9 2015 | John Kass

There is no cure for the Touch of Death, or Dim Mak as it's known in those cheesy martial arts movies.

Legend and comic books tell us that it is a precise and forceful strike, with delayed yet fatal result, sometimes taking days or weeks to do its work.

It is subtle, quick, almost unseen, and usually delivered by a monk or some warrior priest with a topknot. Uma Thurman used it to great effect in "Kill Bill: Vol 2." When she was done, she flashed a smirk of wistful sadness.

That's what happened to Donald Trump's presidential campaign, which received the Touch of Death from Megyn Kelly, the warrior priestess of Fox News.

Since he was talking about he r being angry, nose makes sense. I think people have their mind in the gutter.

None of this would have ever happened if Fox had not had a plan to take down Trump and instead had asked questions that actually had something to do with running for President.

As I asked in a post this weekend, “who ordered the code red on Trump? It’s clear an order went out, and various media and pols followed directions. Who issued it?”

I really just cannot understand the idiocy of this. Megyn Kelly is not stupid, she's good looking and thus perfect for television. Why did she do this? Why was she so painfully blatant about the hack job she was doing?

The other two moderators are probably too thin to understand what Fox had them doing, but she seems smart enough to be a bit more subtle than what we saw. It was just ridiculous. It should also be noted that Brit Hume had no part of this stupidity.

How can Fox use these moderators again in this election? They might just as well have worn Bush buttons.

Chicago cheering for Fox News.
When SF starts doing the same, we will know that the media wants to destroy Trump at all cost.

He was mixing at least three metaphors. Her "blood was boiling". She "got her blood up". And, "about to burst a blood vessel". He bailed out of that bad mix, with, "wherever".

Can anyone cite an example of a metaphor, or even a euphemism, that sounds at all like, "blood coming out of her eyes, .......or wherever" when referring to that "time of the month"?

And that's all I have to say about that.

So mama Trump is a Scot, that explains quite a bit about his personality.

What do you believe Trump referring to when he used the word “wherever”?

I have no idea and I admit it, but you're an MF liar and you choose what you want to believe.

My wife and daughter both heard it and thought nothing of it as they aren't perverts like you.

How do you like it now that I've just done to you what you did to Don? I believe you're a paid shill, or maybe Jebby himself.

I saw an interview of Wallace where he discussed the preparations for this debate. He said that they did not prepared the questions individually but as a team, reworking the questions repeatedly. This also included deciding who was to ask each question.

Obviously having Kelly ask the question was meant to raise the stakes on Trump's answer but we don't know if she volunteered herself or if the guilt must be shared.

What Kelly was entirely responsible for was her snide followup after Trump responded with “Only Rosie O'Donnell.” Trump's touch of humor satisfied the audience and Kelly could and should have left it there - but instead she jumped back and sneered out “...it was not only Rosie O'Donnell!”

I saw an interview of Wallace where he discussed the preparations for this debate. He said that they did not prepared the questions individually but as a team, reworking the questions repeatedly. This also included deciding who was to ask each question.

All three of them asked personal questions designed to avoid permitting Trump to say anything about policy issues. Wallace's questions about prior bankruptcy issues were as bad as Kelly's questions. All three of them were planning a hack job.

I've never thought that Wallace or Bret are all that smart and they were obviously just doing what they had been told to do, but what surprises me is that Kelly didn't see the obvious risks of the plan. She's not stupid. I remember how she went toe to toe with Karl Rove when Rove was making a fool of himself on election night. She should have had nothing to do with this stupidity.

So, who do they have now to provide credible coverage of this election? Can Brit Hume do all the work alone?

Must be something wrong with your mind.

Trump was clearly suggesting that she and wallace had blood in their eyes, ie they were out for blood. In her case he said she had blood coming out of her eyes, she had blood coming out of her... Wherever.

Not for an instant was he suggesting he saw blood coming out of her vagina.

The fact your mind instantly went there just shows you are unhealthily interested in The state of Ms. kelly’s vagina.

You are either lying about your first impression, or you are a deviant.
I cannot tell which it is.

Where in the world did the “menstruation thing” come from?
Because everyone knows that “,wherever” is code for the flow of menses.

Try to keep up. ;)
Best post of the day, very funny!

Look, I understand the fact that you folks are very excited about Trump, but I’m not going to insult you by suggesting that you actually believe that Trump wasn’t referring to Kelly being on her period.

You say, “Trump was clearly suggesting that she and wallace had blood in their eyes, ie they were out for blood.” Why then, did Trump tweet after the interview that “wherever” was supposed to mean “nose”? Do you actually think that Trump was saying that Megan Kelly had blood coming out of her nose? Is that a common expression, in your view, when someone is saying that another person is “out for blood”?

I mean, c’mon.

The better strategy for you folks is just to say that Trump is being Trump: brash, politically incorrect, etc., rather than insisting that black is white.

I think Roger Ailes was in on the whole thing. You know he gave his approval to the debate panel’s plan.

And yet, today Rush claimed to have never ever heard of it or anything close to it. Would he feign ignorance just to shield his buddy Erickson? Now that would be the final straw for me.

It came from his fumbling the ending and instead of completing the old hyperbolic suggestion of apoplectic rage “...eyes and nose” or leaving it hanging and trying to force a segue “...eyes and . . . . whatever!” instead saying “...eyes and . . . wherever”, so that the always sex-minded left could fill in another body part to go with eyes.

I think some humorists should weigh in on the matter and denounce Trump for promulgating the false belief that anger results from an excess of blood, when it is well known that it is caused by an excess of bile.
