Cruz did NOT vote for the trade agreement.

To pick on one vote you don’t like that I think all but 1 senator voted yes on is an absurd standard.

Do you honestly think if Trump had been in Congress that he would’ve voted 100% the way you wanted to? Even when he was a Democrat for 10 of the last 15 years? And says he likes single-payer health care in some countries and called for a huge one-time tax to be levied to pay the government’s bills several years back?

Cruz voted against the bill after previously supporting it. He even wrote an article in the WSJ supporting it. When he knew it was safe to vote against it, he did.

The Corker bill was not just any bill. It took away the Constitutional authority of the Senate that requires 2/3rds of the Senate to support a treaty before it can be passed. It allowed Obama to pretend this deal is not a treaty with Iran. It will give the Iranians the chance to whole the rest of the world hostage.

I do not know for sure if Trump would have voted for or against the trade deal, but I doubt it. I do know he would never have voted for the Corker bill. They couldn’t have rolled him on that.

I also like his immigration stance. As far as some of his other positions, the press is attacking him personally, rather than asking him where he stands on a lot of the issues.

He has a weapons permit and owns a gun and is proud of it.
