Yet whenever he was on, the ratings soared.

Like it or not, Howard Cosell made MNF the institution it became. the ratings slipped dramatically when he left.

He was outspoken and had liberal views. If that really bugged you, you could have always turn off the TV. By the numbers, not too many of you did.

Obama had terrific ratings around the world.

Trash often gets good “ratings.”
