Why is Trump still engaging in this sideshow????

Because he's being asked about it!

Lack of self control.

They keep on asking him. Trump told Tapper at the end of the segment he hoped next time they would talk about real issues.

Because you’ve got to get out in front of it. Don’t let them control the story. It’s great positioning.

Because it's his nature to be combative and bombastic. Go back and review the dust-up between he and rosie o'doughnuts - he couldn't let it go. Sure, trading a barb or two is OK but knowing when to move on is essential. The Donald doesn't know when to move on.

Donald Trump is a very flawed candidate with a questionable style and (historically) shifting, ill-defined positions on the issues.

We have a near perfect candidate in Ted Cruz. Ted Cruz gets tough questions all of the time and he handles such queries perfectly. He appears to relish these questions, in fact. He never feels the need to rant and attack the questioner, or somehow portray the questioner as part of the problem.

We should move on from Donald Trump and get with a candidate that actually represents something to believe in.

The video of the phone interview is embedded in the article, and he does mention about the Chris Wallace comment was the same as Kelly’s.

The rest of the interview is terrific.

He says 24 million people were watching not for Bush, Fiorina, Graham—but for himself.

And he was correct.

Trump did, in fact, point that out, and Tapper agreed that Trump said it.
