Another thing that doesn't make sense is that with cleaner air, more people have COPD. I see more and more people with tubes stuck up their noses. Maybe it's the latest medical fad.

I believe COPD is sometimes caused by lung damage when you’re young. Lots more exposure to the bad stuff 50-80 years ago, when today’s old people were young.
