By the time he ran for governor and well before he became governor, his conservative views were already in place.

It seems funny to me that some conservatives feel that Reagan was the only man capable of making such a philosophical transition in life. As if no one else in world history has ever done the same.

I wonder how many narrow minded Republicans refused to vote for Reagan because of his history as a Dem. Would be interesting to know that.

Just tell them that Churchill followed the same path.

He was the first man to confront the Nazis.

He’s the man who said “if by 20 you’re not a liberal, then you have no heart. If by 40 and you’re not a conaervative, you have no brain.” He should’ve added “... and no balls.” But like Reagan, Churchill was a classy guy.
