Arlington police officer in training fatally shoots unarmed teen at car dealership

A 49-year-old police trainee killed an unarmed teen burglary suspect who drove an SUV into the showroom of an Arlington car dealership early Friday.

The dealership’s security company reported the break-in after its cameras recorded a man there after hours, police said. Sgt. Paul Rodriguez said a burglar drove a sport utility vehicle through the dealership showroom’s glass doors.
When police arrived they found Taylor in the showroom and approached him. Police said Miller shot Taylor after an “altercation.” Taylor died at the scene, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.

High school football start who got his drug charges erased through deferred adjudication; Hoping to be a starter on his college team in the fall. Aspiring singer (story doesn't say whether or not it was rap) on the cusp of turning his life around.
Unarmed black youth shot by white cop, and all he did was burglarize a car dealership and fight with a middle aged cop after driving through the plate glass into the showroom. Let's see if they can get any riots scheduled for this weekend, or if it is going to take a while for the outside agitators to show up.

It’s Cause and Effect, not the other way around. If you don’t like the effect then don’t produce the cause. The process cannot be back-driven but that doesn’t stop them from trying.

It would be interesting to accost someone walking in a mostly empty parking lot. You could drive a car (SUV or not) and yell out the car window -- "I will run you down! I will back over your corpse! Drop your wallet where you stand and walk away! If you do not, I'm gunning my engine!"
Would that be considered "armed robbery" or not?
Might depend on skin color. Hard to know for sure.
