Real-estate magnate Donald Trump reamed Fox News moderators and associates during a lengthy Twitter rant early Friday morning, hours after the first Republican presidential debate.
Trump went off on moderator Megyn Kelly, who he said "bombed." Kelly had perhaps the most contentious exchange of the night with Trump when she asked him about a slew of past offensive comments toward women.
And Trump had harsh words for Republican pollster Frank Luntz, who conducted a focus group of Republican voters that gave Trump brutal reviews after the debate. He called Luntz a "clown" and a "slob."
Trump cited two polls frequently during his rant one from The Drudge Report, in which 50% of its readers chose him as the winner, and another from Time that found similar results.
Trump also spent a good chunk of time retweeting people who praised his performance. One of those tweets he quoted had bashed Kelly and referred to her as a "bimbo."
Here's (most of) the rant:

The moderators targeted Trump from the get-go with the kind of provocative, specific questions the GOP front-runner hasn't faced much on the campaign trail. The debate started with moderator Bret Baier asking all 10 candidates onstage whether they would pledge to back the eventual nominee. Trump was the only one who refused to take the pledge.
"I cannot say I have to respect the person that if it's not me the person that wins," Trump said.

Eh broken clocks I suppose. Trump has shown his willingness to stand up to his enemies. Now he needs to show he has some form of restraint and stop feeding Kelly’s ratings.
I’ve made no secret in my posting that I don’t like Trump. Cruz or Walker would make me happy.
Good post...I think you see it well.
Trump can sound like nails across a chalk board at times...lacking substance in his comebacks. He can do better but I think would do well with some coaching ...someone who has “The art” required to channel his style rightly without loosing The Trump in the process.
They’ve carried the populist sometimes-conservative Bill O for years. They’ll keep her as long as she has ridiculously high viewership. Even then she’ll probably hang on. Look how long Shep and Gerraldo have hung on.
I’ll take an outsider. I don’t however want someone who is so thin skinned that he goes on internet tirades at 3am against other world leaders.
Ted Cruz would never act like this. Is he just another typical politician?
I used to like Megyn Kelly, it’s sad to see her become such a nutjob. She needs a boss intervention/counseling but, judging by her stupid behavior, they’re egging her on.
The sons run Fox now....
Kelly knew this was going to create more than a stir......the staff talked about it beforehand. She wanted no one to come to her rescue no matter what Trumps response might be....the very fact that was a concern says they knew all to well exactly what they were doing and with what intention.
How Kelly framed the question to Trump was really “nasty”....but Wallace did like wise with Newt in 2012 on his marriage and his campaign staff...he was brutal...but Newt hit back hard to a standing ovation as mentioned earlier.
Would have loved to see Trump handle it better then he did. Instead he got down on Kelly’s level. Good for those who watched to see hi fight...not so good for those who wanted to see more from Trump.
I sent Megan my, “ Congrats on winning the Candy Crowley Award for Lack of Excellence in the Debate Moderation category”.
Trump facing a challenge is a good thing. This will prepare him for the second debate.
I hope there is no more kiddie table because we drop about 50% or more of the field.
Things always get cringe-worthy when a piece of window-dressing like Megyn Kelly start thinking that they’re really somebody.
There’s just too many IMO.....some need to just drop out as far as I’m concerned...however we don’t know the over all plan and it’s still early.
I think all who ran before...Santorum, Christy, Perry and Kasich should all drop out. They’ve had their day in the sun...
You joined FR shortly after Trump announced his intentions?
“I think Business Insider is having a meltdown over Donald Trump turning an ambush into a victory.”
The Rainbow commandos there and at other mediot sites are having sever meltdowns over Trump and their trolls are over FR complaining about Trump while posing as the real conservatives.
Two presidential elections ago, a conservative gay friend told me to do a Google search on mediots going out of their way to blast republicans and to add gay to their name.
It is amazing how many Rainbow warriors are posing as real reporters while pushing their agendas and slashing our candidates.
His recommended search shows the pro gay activities and agendas of so many of these so called writers. I call them mediots.
I’ve read for years but yes I started posting after Trump got in. Started replying because of some Trump topic that got my dander up. He isn’t the only topic I post on, but was my motivation to start posting here.
Please keep pointing it out.

YEP.
I’ve seen that.
Your comment in #58 on my comment #7, actually reinforces my point about how Donald can improve his effectiveness—indeed, how important it is that he do so.
Common reply from new posters during president elections.
” Trust me, I am a real conservative, and I have been reading FR for years/decades. Just felt you dolts er Freepers needed my expert knowledge.”
