Its decided. The internet has spoken. Carly Fiorina won the Fox News "kids table" debate in a landslide. "I have to say I was most impressed by Carly Fiorina," said Fox News Sunday anchor Chris Wallace shortly after the debate concluded. Wallace's opinion was seemingly shared by the majority media figures on Twitter (including Reason staffers).
...
While Fiorina certainly didn't go overboard on specific policies she would like to implement, her rhetorical hold over the debate was masterful. She never stumbled, lost her train of thought, or gave a clunky answer. And her swipe at Donald Trump - who donated to Hillary Clinton and takes phone calls from Bill Clinton - was one of the most gratifying moments of the debate.

I’m sure she, as a former CEO of HP donated money to D candidates. And, how does anyone know who calls who? I’m sure she got a call from her donors to take out Trump. Her answers were too canned and rehearsed. Someone fed those to her and possibly might have been Tokyo Rove. Neither you nor I know why Clinton called Trump. If you are so danged sure of the reason - then where’s your proof? See, that door swings both ways.
Oh btw, I forgot to mention.
While I do think Carly gave the best debate performance last night, I am not supporting her. And I do not feel compelled to defend everything she’s done.
As a resident of CA, I only wish she was this aggressive when she ran unsuccessfully against Sen. Barbara Boxer in 2010. But this is the People’s Republic after all, and Republicans rarely get elected to statewide office anymore unless they are wealthy universally known RINOs like Arnold.
Spot on.
I think she'll take that chance, and it will hurt him more than her.
Okay, but let's give complete information on what her participation with the Clinton foundation really is:
"But Fiorina may have a hitch of her own. She failed to mention during her speech that she appeared at a Clinton Foundation event in Denver last year and is on the advisory board of one organization and the chair of another that have an active commitments to the foundation.
The commitments to the Clinton Foundation come from the The National Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, which has agreed to put $3.7 million toward creating an exhibition space near the National Mall in Washington, DC to celebrate entrepreneurship and innovation in America and programs to reach 50,000 youth with in-person experiences that foster interest in entrepreneurship, and Good 360, which partnered with Hilton Worldwide in finding alternative ways to recycle, donate, or reuse waste instead of sending it to the landfill for a $2 million commitment."
So the sum total of her "partnership" with the Clinton Foundation was serving with organizations that gave donations to try to encourage young people to become entrepreneurs and to find new ways to recycle. Wow, that really is as bad as giving to Hillary's campaign and inviting the Clintons to your wedding!
BTW, Fiorina was one of the first to defend Sarah Palin against what she called “sexist” attacks against her.
He never claimed to be.
There is a difference. It is called honesty. Actually, I prefer Curz because of his record. I hope he takes hold.
Trump is still the biggest hypocrite and a fake. Over the last four years how much has he donated to border protection groups, pro-marriage groups, pro-choice groups or any serious conservative cause?
He’s a NY RINO at best and Democrat Trojan Horse in reality. The goal is to elect a Democrat. It’s what NY RE developers do. On occasion they support a RINO.
Cruz and Carson won’t make it nationally. Fiorina has a major chance and would knock out Sanders and Clinton or any Dem. She’s done a terrific job of defending free markets, success and innovation. She’d need a solid VP to deal with Congress and/or to capture electoral votes, though.
Walker is my preferred candidate and I believe he’s Trump’s real target.
Thanks for that.
Also her participation in CGI events, which all serve as fund-raisers, with Bill, Hillary and Chelsea can’t be reassuring.
And the fact that she essentially was hiding the association this whole time isn’t either.
old Mysogynist Trump
What an unfair statement about Mr. Donald Trump. Certainly he is an old man and a serial trophy-wifer, but a mysogynist?
It’s not like he beds and marries women young enough to be his granddaughters.
Where will attacks on this poor man stop?
“Please take that load of baloney elsewhere.
It could be easily said that Trump has consorted with the enemy to the tenth power past Fiorina.”
I’ll take my baloney and match it with yours anyday. Your pile of baloney is piled much higher and deeper. This reminds me, I’m hungry. Thanks for triggering my tastebuds. You’re opinion was good for something.
I thought that was a Megyn Kelly like cheap shot. The “smoking gun” phone call was way after he already made his decision Trump said this morning. He did praise her performance though.
Trump: I would have probably bumped Rand Paul because he was the only one that came at me last night... I would have brought up Carly.
You are a wise FReeper. All roads point to a Trojan Horse.
“I wouldnt be surprised if Giuliani knows Trump well.
Giuliani recently said that Trump is eloquent like Obama.”
Giuliani just said a couple of days ago on Fox Business News that he thought Trump was Reaganesque in many ways. Guiliani supports Trump, likes Trump, knows Trump, and agrees with many things Trump espouses. But I guess you didn’t know that. You are either misinformed or ill informed.
I hope you all noticed that Jeb Bush hightailed it over to the moderators’ table after the debate ended to shake hands with Megyn Kelly, Bret Baier and Chris Wallace. Now why do you think he did that? Why do you think he was thanking them, hmmmmm?
She HAS to be on the ticket.
“old Mysogynist Trump”
I hope you understand I was saying this is what Megyn Kelly was inferring, not me, don’t you? I love Trump. Kelly was basically saying that Trump was/is a mysogynist. Kelly is now persona non grata to me.
“In fact, his (Trumps) $34,000.00 gift to Democratic campaign committees in the 2006 election cycle helped put Reid and Rep. Nancy Pelosi in power.”
Oh yeah, it was just that one nasty contribution from Trump that put them in office, lol. Then it was just all those contributions from most businessmen and women in NYC that contributed to both Pubs and Dems that put Reid and Pelosi in office, wasn’t it. It was all of their faults. All those nasty Pub businessmen who wanted their businesses to survive in NYC. Man, get in the real world.
And that was 2006. It’s now 2015, in case you didn’t notice, and Trump has much to lose and already has businesswise by coming out publicly and vociferously as he has, as a very conservative man in the here and now. You seem to think that everyone needs to live in a time warp and can never change their minds on any given subject. We are supposed to be locked in for life to whatever opinions we held earlier in life. Tell that to Ronald Reagan. Whatever we believed years ago, why, we have to stick with that for life, according to you. Sorry, that’s not how the world of people works.
As long as people evolve in the right direction toward conservatism, then all the more power to them and it behooves us to welcome them into the tent. Nice try though to sell your point of view. It’s just that it is so easy to poke holes in your arguments, lol.
“I think she’ll take that chance, and it will hurt him more than her.”
You’ve got to be kidding. If she does it on a stage with him, he’ll cream her.
