Carly Fiorina Eviscerates Ghost of Trump, Wins Fox News JV Presidential Debate

Its decided. The internet has spoken. Carly Fiorina won the Fox News "kids table" debate in a landslide. "I have to say I was most impressed by Carly Fiorina," said Fox News Sunday anchor Chris Wallace shortly after the debate concluded. Wallace's opinion was seemingly shared by the majority media figures on Twitter (including Reason staffers).

...

While Fiorina certainly didn't go overboard on specific policies she would like to implement, her rhetorical hold over the debate was masterful. She never stumbled, lost her train of thought, or gave a clunky answer. And her swipe at Donald Trump - who donated to Hillary Clinton and takes phone calls from Bill Clinton - was one of the most gratifying moments of the debate.

Bill Clinton is Trump’s favorite President. They both favor government healthcare and unions and all that.

I hate to tell you, but you are dead wrong on this. Do your research on her past views and opinions on issues. You will be singing a different tune. She has one huge donor - Univision. Can’t be bought huh? You seriously need to do your homeowork.

After yesterday's debates, my "short list" (in no particular order) consists of the following: Carly Fiorina, Ted Cruz, Mike Huckabee, Marco Rubio, Scott Walker.

I like Ben Carson, but I don't think he's ready for the big job yet. I think Rand Paul may have helped himself, especially after the exchange with Chris Christie, who won't be going anywhere. John Kasich had the home court advantage, but didn't really shine, either. After last night, I think Donald Trump has slipped a few points, but I don't think he experienced the big fall that some were hoping for. It's obvious that Fox was trying to showcase Jeb Bush last night, but I don't think it worked. If anything, Jeb may have now peaked.

Yeah, sure, it is just the GOPe, MSM and others who champion her. No conservatives support her. None at all...

Please take that load of baloney elsewhere.

It could be easily said that Trump has consorted with the enemy to the tenth power past Fiorina.

This is what I’ve been shouting from the housetops about her. She’s a phony. The media never treated Sarah this good - why? Because Sarah was the real deal - Carly is a hypocrite - a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Getting a call and getting a call before jumping in the GOP nomination race are two entirely different things - if she indeed has gotten any calls.

And thus, your post is termed to be: Conflation.

But where is your proof that she has gotten a call, much less many calls form Bill Clinton?

I posted this (thread linked above) almost a week ago.

That's Trump with Bloomberg, whom Trump says he loves, as well as Clinton and Giulianai, Joe Torre and Billy Crystal.

I like Carson, but I also like her as a very good prospect for VP with Cruz/Fiorina on the GOP ticke

She's far from my first choice, but Fiorina is more believable as a candidate than Carson. She has proven administrative ability as CEO of a fortune 500 corporation, albeit with a less than spectacular performance for the company during her tenure. Carson is an MD who gives canned pep talks with conservative rhetoric but little substance, not much of a resume for someone seeking the highest office in the land.

But Carly herself has been on Clinton Foundation panels and advisory boards.

Absolutely nobody has called her on that hypocrisy.

How in the hell do you know why Clinton called him? It could have been to bleed more money out of him for the phony Foundation - which by the way, Carly is seen in the picture about at the .................CLinton Foundation.

BTW, I bet you either Reince or Karl called her about her run—need a skirt in the lineup, don’t you know!

That pardon/clemency thingy in Arkansas would still doom him if he ever managed to get very far, which he most likely won’t.

I'm sorry, but I really don't want to vote for Fiorina.

Thank you for the ping

I guess, perhaps, that Bill Clinton was the mover and shaker of Trump to get him more involved in GOP politics, while Trump is the mover and shaker when it comes to getting the issue of illegal immigration to the forefront. :)

So? Rush plays golf with some libs too - it doesn’t mean anything - I guess you ignore the photo of Carly at the Clinton Foundation posted above, but, not the one at a golf game? Selective umbrage?

I imagine that many have not ruled it out.

Oh, btw, somehow I missed up that first post. It should say “Clinton encouraged Trump to get more involved...”

But... I used to tease people, but nothing more, for making mistakes here at FR, and it is very common to do so, as quite a lot of people do this. Hence, I have learned not to do this anymore, because I am also quite human as anyone else on this matter.

I agree with many of Trump’s current positions.

It’s his past positions on most issues which give pause for concern.

Be careful of this woman. She talks better than she performs. Conservative?? I doubt it.

That is the problem with these so called debates. Most of them are hiding their past lib behavior.

They always get all Constitutional Conservative at election time.

Being honest about their own past is so important to me.
