I used to stop by Hickory Hollow Mall when I came to Nashville but I haven’t done that for years because its gone downhill..

The building is there, but the mall as it was no longer exists (it’s been converted to other uses, has a college annex in part of it - but it’s not a destination for shopping). Quality of the stores deteriorated and it slowly emptied out from the ‘90s until the ‘00s. Once the premier mall in TN. Crime and die-versity killed it.

Good to know about the status of that area. We transit though there a few times a year, but generally don’t stop in that section of 24. Usually we stop at a really good BBQ place on the edge of a bad part of town in Chattanooga, or else in Manchester or Murfreesboro. Every now and then we’ll go to a nice restaurant in Germantown.
