Donald Trump - who Fox News said literally will be at the center of its GOP primary debate on Thursday - is already feeling the heat from network hosts.
On Tuesday, Fox's Bill O'Reilly grilled the billionaire businessman on his claim that as president he will get Mexico to pay for a wall on the southern U.S. border to help prevent undocumented immigrants from crossing into the United States.
"Bill, they're making a fortune, Mexico is making a fortune off the United States, it's becoming the new China in terms of trade -- they're killing us at the border," Trump said after O'Reilly pressed him twice on the same question.
The third time O'Reilly asked, Trump said, "I'm gonna say, 'Mexico, this is not going to continue, you're going to pay for that wall,' and they will pay for the wall. ..."

If we don’t vet him and he gets the nomination, the media will grind him into a thin paste.
He’s built an billionaire empire and negotiates with presidents and princes. He’s trolled by attention hos who’ve never built a successful doghouse and get cold sweats negotiating for extra ketchup at a drivethru.
Why?
Is he going to make China and Mexico bow before him?
I am more fearful of Trump being another Obama, A whole lot of anticonstitutional nonsense. Trump does as Trump desires, screw everyone else.
You’ve been here 2 days short of a month and you’re flapping your idiot jowls about trolls?
LOL
Quite possibly. Business is his strong suite. His weaknesses lie in other areas.
Ok. If he did indeed say that, then what about China? Doesn’t he bring that up frequently, too, when Mexico and other thing come up? Tariffs on them as well?
We can see where this is all heading. They retaliate, Russia potentially joins in, others join in, and on and on it goes.
Perhaps not a good thing in the long run for the U.S. or any other nation.
Better to build a factor in the R-T-W states. The big three are run by idiots. They want to go from Detroit to Chiapas with out stopping in Tennessee.
The only issue that matters this election is immigration and Trump owns that issue. Nothing else matters.
How much do we give in aid to Mexico each year?
Success in some things does not necessarily mean success in all things, either past of future..
It is extrapolation and conjecture to say that past success on a smaller scale than governments means future success when dealing with entire governments.
Sure he will. Sure he will....
He did say how he would get Mexico to pay for it. I saw the interview. He would tie it to us doing trade with mexico. Pay for the wall or well stop lining your pockets with factories.
Here, I’ll answer myself:
8. Mexico ($757.7 million)
A large portion of the U.S. aid to Mexico goes to fight drug trafficking.
Mexico shares a 2,000-mile border with the United States and is a member of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). Although it is the third-largest trading partner of the U.S., a huge percentage of the population is poor. U.S. aid to Mexico is spent on development assistance, economic support, child survival and health programs, and combating drug trafficking.

Okay, so during two Trump terms, that alone would total almost $6.5 B. That should buy a pretty good fence.
6 in 10 independents say they will not vote for Trump, and 3 in 10 Republicans say the same. Add to that 0 in 10 Democrats.
Trump is unelectable.
Cruz, otoh, is the only one who can galvanize ALL three legs of the Reagan stool.
He can get just as many social conservatives as Huckabee, he is more credible on military matters than Rand Paul and equal to all the others on this part He is more fiscally conservative than Jeb Bush and equal to Walker on this issue.
Cruz is the total package, has a long history of being consistent on conservatism, and has no history of donating to Dems.
Stop sending money to terrorist countries and we will have the money for the wall. Let the Army Engineers build it and while it is being built have the Military on the borders. We are in a dire situation right now. It has to be done.
You’re wrong—Trump is attracting the old Reagan Democrat, GOP/Indy/Dem coalition.
So they would be unable to increase their tariffs?
No. They could increase them.
