Many Democrats have long hoped that Hillary Clinton might expand Barack Obamas electoral coalition by drawing in more white women voters.
A new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll suggests she may have a tough time pulling it off. Mrs. Clinton is losing ground with white women and many other important slices of the electorate, the poll shows, amid a spate of reports about her email practices, speaking fees and foreign donations to the Clinton Foundation.
In June, 44% of white women had a favorable view of Mrs. Clinton, compared to 43% who didnt. In July, those numbers moved in the wrong direction for Mrs. Clinton: Only 34% of white women saw her in a positive light, compared to 53% who had a negative impression of her, the poll found.

That stat is a good reminder—Obama lost to Romney among white women by 14%.
Too often Freepers rage against female voters and bemoan their even having the right to vote.
It is, however, minority female voters that they should have issue.
Where de white women at???
“The Dems could run Bernie Sanders, or a German Shepherd, or a cinder block at this point. Does not really matter. Its all about the FREE SH**.”
See post #7. Wish I could agree with you. Who was it who said, “Nobody ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American people”?
Now.....if Hillary truly implodes (and if she does it will be accompanied by a slew of Arkancides), then Comrade Sanders is their candidate & we MIGHT stand a chance.
We be here and we be conservative !
Awesome, thanks!
If she’s not polling an overwhelming majority in what should be about the strongest of her base demographics, i.e. white women, she’s finished.
Lacks charisma and lots of baggage sure. But I think there is also an exhaustion factor. She's been on the national stage for over twenty years. People are sick of her (yes, even Dems....). Of course being a Dem nominee (if) she automatically gets 40% of the popular vote. But she won't get the black turnout that Obama did.

Excellent quote & potential political ad - if the Repubs have the stones to use it.
If Biden gets into the race, Hillary is finished. Most of Obama’s loyalists will see Biden as a continuation of Obama’s policies, while viewing Hillary as a rich old white woman who can’t be trusted.
Beau Biden reportedly told his dad from his death bed “you can’t let the Clintons be in charge of this country again.”
In the end, his Pennsylvania performance over McLame improved by a whopping 2.4%, which was still better than the national average of 1.6%.
No one in his right mind will switch for Romney.
Ah, yes...tugging at the heartstrings, a favorite Democratic tactic. Hillary thought she could do it by portraying herself as the loving grandma, but she'll never beat Biden's "I'm running to honor my late son's dying wish."
I’ve heard too that a big difference among women is between married women and single women.
Romney carried the vote of married women, while single females voted overwhelmingly for Obama.
So the married women are not a lock for Hillary to be the first women president.
I would like to see a woman president, just not for HIllary to be that president. I think millions of women share that sentiment. They are not going to vote for Hillary just because she is female.
Or maybe Beau Biden knew some REALLY BAD THINGS about the Clintons from his inner-party connections.

And, I believe, single women of any racial composition.
