That’s completely different. The dentist was a white guy. He has no credible oppression credits at all. You would need a lot of oppression credits to make up for killing dear cecil.
American liberals are total suckers for the “oppressed noble savage” schtick. On some level, they know they are divorced from reality and oppressed people seem, somehow, so natural. On another level it is incredibly condescending. Obama thinks he is better than them so, because of their lower level of lofty understanding, it’s OK for them to hunt dear cecil, whereas the dentist should know better—or something like that.
