The nation's Big Three networks have lavished news coverage on flamboyant Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, one of the latest to get into the race, according to a review of nightly broadcasts dating to January 1.
The conservative media watchdog, the Media Research Center, found that Trump has received about 10 times the average amount of airtime given to the other 16 candidates combined, with the last one to get in, former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore, still waiting for his first second of coverage.

In before?
Just imagine him setting and dominating the global agenda the same way. Go USA!
This should make us all suspicious, if we weren’t already. We know just how much a part of the cabal the media is. They’ve built up the rainbow flag crowd as though they were 80% of the population. Etc., etc.
LOL!
I volunteer to give First Lady Melania 100% of my time.
What isn't mentioned is that 99.99 of the 10 to 1 coverage, was so over the top negative that it bore little connection to reality. Many of the recent ones were focused to be actual game-ending attacks.
The candidate should relish not getting air-time of that kind.
Going back to January 1st, also skews the report considerably.
Many players weren't talked about at all until recently, and Trump is always talked about.
I agree...
There is a reason that the media is building up Trump...the poll internals cite this as well...
They like him for entertainment purposes and they wouldn’t talk about him if they feared him...
I;ve said it multiple times, that buyer beware and we could all look like chumps. They’re all in cahoots together and even NBC polls have him on top. ]
Seriously, it looks like a trap...
The mainstream media is covering him like Jersey Shore used to be covered - they assume he is going to be a train wreck and just want to be there for it.
If they thought he was serious, they wouldn’t give him nearly as much free publicity.
They may be in for a surprise.
In every Speech Trump makes he always takes the time to Lambast the Media sitting right in front of him.
Why then would they cover him so much?
My guess would be that they think they are attacking him and casting him in a negative light, and they are only boosting his Popularity by doing so.
I’m sure they didn’t see that unintended consequence slapping them in their faces.
That photo cracks me up.
“Trump gets nearly 10 times TV network coverage of all GOP candidates”
Ya think?????? He gets more coverage EVERYWHERE. I am desperate to find a Trump-free zone where a serious discussion of the problems that plague America can be had. For now it’s impossible. Everyone is so busy hyperventilating over Trump. This Trump fever is like the Blob, consuming multitudes and increasing in its destructive power as it increases in size. What we need now are fire extinguishers to incapacitate this creature.
Which was the whole plan all along
Dayum.
I wish that was short enough to fit in a FR tagline. I'd claim it if it was.
The other candidates have had years to start serious discussions about the problems that plague America: they haven't.
Now you want Trump to lay out, chapter and verse, what he'll do to fix the things the others won't even acknowledge?
Hypocrite, much?
Trump and Cruz are the only ones that get coverage. The rest have to work hard to be noticed. Thankfully Walker has various accomplishments that he has done this year to get into the news which is the best way to get coverage anyway. The latest was his ban on abortion at 20 weeks for all reasons....some here are so pissed off that the bill passed and call Walker a disappointment.....Can you imagine that on Free Republic? Never thought I’d see the day.....10 year anniversary is next week and I never saw anything like it.
