Love this.

I don’t understand why some are such purists that they don’t want to cast their vote for anyone imperfect.

Killing political correctness is in 2015 more important to the chance of us having a constitutional government again than playing the socialists’ game and excitedly voting for a pure conservative that the Statists have put before us so that we will lose.

D1, how can we explain this to them? I fail every day.

It’s like starving nearly to death, and seeing a loaf of bread, a kind you might not like, but it’s filled with nutrition, up a short tree that you can climb up and get, if you are careful. Then you also see your most favorite cake in the entire world, chocolate made by your favorite bakery, unbelievably with your favorite milk chocolate frosting with fresh cherries in the filling and your favorite whipped topping on the top. But it is up in a much higher, flimsier tree, out on a branch three stories high that will not support your weight.

Clearly we can’t have chocolate cake Cruz in 2016 for President. Less so anyone even more purist than he is. But we can subside on wholesome bread, we can survive. The nation might move toward health under Trump.

Maybe that is also a bad analogy. We need a really good one.

I liked what you had to say.

Yaelle, it’s like trying to explain to an estranged spouse that you still care for them, when they don’t want to listen.

It’s like meeting a woman, opening yourself up and telling her your true feelings and having her tell you she doesn’t believe a word of it.

It’s like listening to your girl-friend tell you she loves this certain diamond ring for ten specific reasons. You buy it for her and give it to her on a Tuesday. She’s unhappy it wasn’t Thursday.

It’s like asking God to send a man named Ted to you, so he can deliver you. God sends a man named Donald instead and you refuse what he offers you, which is about 95% what Ted would have.

He loves the nation, and may not see eye to eye with you, but he knows the subjects beyond the superficial. You won’t even listen to his interviews and speeches.

Yaelle, it’s human nature. I’m guilty of it too at times.
