Reagan was humble..
Trump is not..
It takes a lot more.to be outrageous today. I hope The Donald.is up.for.this.
There is now so much muddy water between those that call themselves conservative and those that are call themselves liberal. I have no respect for the leadership of either Party. Both are corrupt.
My first choice and priorities are politicians that put the USA and its citizens first...and not illegal immigrants, lobbyists or global corporations, or Hollywood, or MSM, NYC bankers like Goldman, or other interests.
Our freedoms and USA citizens should come without any question as first and foremost in every policy. Everything else is a distant second, third or fourth.
Actually he's a bit muddled on that.....but you've cherry picked your quotes, so you're happy with your cherry kool aid.
how’s that universal care working out for ya?
wana bet?
he wants to keep the best ones of the law breakers.
Hmm, that’s the only Trump view you could come up from the 80s?
I think we’re beginning to see the problem.
Sure. Ill bet you buck!!
You apparently didn’t hear the interview with Sean Hannity on July 27 at http://insider.foxnews.com/2015/07/27/donald-trump-slams-president-obama-incompetent-politicians-hannity. Starting about 12 minutes in, Trump says he wants to get rid of the “bad” illegals, but then create an expedited process for the others to go back home and then come back in legally. Sounds an awful lot like amnesty to me.
“but am not fooled by combovers..
The boy is bald.. but dishonest about it.”
Amen, brother! He should be saying the following: ‘I say the following to ALL of those men who tease me about being bald’:
“You are simply jealous and envious because you know that my body produces a LOT more testosterone than does yours!” ;-)
That is why I am so very proud of my bald head! LOL
Go easy, Eddy tries hard.
They both have Charisma too unlike the rest of the GOP candidates
They both made their wealth in the private sector unlike the others.
Trump/Cruz 2016 is THE winning ticket
I have viewed some dated video clips of Trump. What intrigued me about him was that some of his views from the 80s were sound. This means he was solid enough that his view could be thought to bleed over into other areas.
If you were looking for things to disagree with, some of that was present too. I’ve never made the claim the guy was our ideal candidate.
I venture to state that many people on this forum have morphed over time. We came here, talked to others, read materials, and either strengthened our beliefs, or adopted new ones.
I thought that’s what we wanted folks to do. Trump is hitting the nail on the head more oten than not these days. Should we call him a newby and send him packing?
A lot of folks seem to think so.
I think he shows promise.
To me that ticket makes a lot of sense. I say so because it would put a solid Conservative in the loop. Cruz could help Trump understand Conservatism’s finer points.
I would love to see that ticket. Cruz is young enough he could follow along strongly after Trump.
We could hope for at least 16 years of good policy. Reagan’s legacy started to crumble as soon as the Bush administration started, with a few bright spots like the Iron Curtain’s fall.
Great post.
I understand. But that phrase was certainly was used a millions times to support the inept corrupt lying professional politicians before Trump's run. And we all know they're bought and paid for.
People running around calling people "purist" when they voiced anger after being repeatedly betrayed by the career politicians. Americans who wanted secured borders were labeled isolationist, racist, and were told it was impossible, too hard to secure a border etc.
Same exact thing went on with Bush during his last campaign for POTUS. He's not ideal so hold your nose and everyone vote for the better evil. It was endless, on and on.
Thank you.
Wrong, if you have been paying attention, he has gone soft on this issue as well...if you can figure out what he is trying to say.
Trump knows how to make money and is a successful promoter of Donald Trump. On politics, Trump has no track record to speak of and has taken both sides on the major issues for years. A life long NY Democrat now he wants to be taken seriously.
If Trump keeps pressing the right buttons and spewing the right words many conservative and traditional folks will back him. And he’ll be a contender for the nomination.
Its nice to see someone shake up the GOP but if Trump wins the nomination, it’ll be the greatest con job in political history. At least since Obama’s campaign in 2008.
Track record as opposed to what? D.C. and the career politicians during the past several decades?
From my perspective their track record has all but left America and the American dream dead on the floor.
