A Monmouth University poll, also released Monday and with a somewhat larger sample size and smaller margin of error, shows Trump in first place, beating both Scott Walker and Jeb Bush combined.
The poll puts Trump in first place with 26% support. Second place Jeb Bush and third place Scott Walker sit at 12% and 11%, respectively.
That is what you call a blow out.
The remainder of the top ten includes Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) - (6%), Mike Huckabee - (6%), Ben Carson - (5%), Chris Christie - (4%), Sen. Rand Paul - (4%)

We are at a tipping point .
We have both political parties conspiring to fund with taxpayer dollars an evil organization that harvest babies parts and jokes about it.
Mitchy could have attached this bill to the highway fund if he wanted to but we actually have the Head of the U.S. Senate supporting and GOP leader funding this horror.
A Trump victory will destroy both these
Amoral Crooked parties which is a good thing for this country.
KStreet and DC elites will be out of power and maybe new parties will rise to wash away this vermin.
He just blew through that low Rove ceiling.
Pray America is waking
How old if I may ask?
I can understand Trump’s being popular.... at least he does not seem to be a 24/7-liar we’ve been stuck with these past six years..... the public is just plain tired of being lied to all the time
however, I am mystified if this poll can possibly be accurate insofar as Ted Cruz goes. he seems another candidate who speaks quite truthfully and clearly ....
and he’s been very popular everywhere he goes, so far as we’ve heard
I do not trust these polls
No.
I’ll be more interested in the Post Debate Polling. This will be the most watched First Republican Debate in History.
The Media will have their Video Editors working full time on Debate footage trying to knock out Trump and anyone else (Cruz) there that isn’t the anointed Sacrificial Lamb against Hillary.
We have a long 15 Months to go and it will be a Barn Burner for sure.
Trumps going to win!
Go Trump!
Trumps going to win!
Go Trump!
Exactly! Go trump!
I think most of these purists demanding conservative purity of any candidate or they stay home are really democrat/marxist double agent agitators. they brainwash idiots into staying home
I’m 64...and I can say this is VERY different...I havent always been political...but...THIS is VERY different. ..Thursdays “debate” will tell a lot!
Although I’ve been cheering Trump on, ready to hold his coat and so forth and so on, I haven’t really taken him seriously as a real choice.
But after today’s shameful performance by the Senate GOP, if he says what I’m thinking he’s got my vote, and you sputtering Republican CsINO can go to ****.
One I know has voted D every time in his life. Now is getting pumped about Trump.
Polls allowed Nate Silver to call 49 of 50 states right weeks before the 2012 election.
You are just a youngster. I am 66. And I agree that this is something we have never seen before.
Now, if only Trump were actually conservative....Cruz silence on immigration is deafening.
From Cruz homepage:
In 2013, Sen. Cruz proposed amendments to the Gang of 8 bill that would strengthen border security, expand green card opportunities, increase high-skilled H1B visas, prevent illegal aliens from receiving welfare benefits, and enforce the rule of law.The gang of 8 bill he amended would have issued 30 million new green cards with benefits.
Giving illegals green cards with benefits is one way to make them legally get "welfare" benefits. Even Cruz knows H1b visas take jobs from American workers. He wants to increase them.
I guess everyone has a different definition of conservative.
It's gone from blow out to historic.
I am so freakin done with Republicans
Damn it
I want someone who is going to FIGHT all of them
Take off the gloves
Kick a$$
Take no prisoners
I'm going to look for a situation that is actually better than the one I'm in. Rather than jumping onto a boat that is sinking at the same rate or faster than the one I'm on.

Your point?..
Who said anything about Cruz???
