Mega dittos. Dr. Sowell, great as he is, is wrong on this one.
“but still not sure I trust him 100% because of that bull in a china shop factor.”
Okay, but what would today’s pantywaists say about JFK talking tough during the missile crisis?
“I want Ted Cruz in the WH.”
He’s weak. He will never find the courage to do what has to be done.
“while rejecting a candidate who is pro border control, pro military”
None of them is, despite their campaign rhetoric.
Except perhaps Trump, if he’s found the light.
Trump was for it before he was against it? Have you heard that when Kerry was running? Trump wasn't for border control before. His latest statement still has a road to amnesty. He has made anti-second amendment statements. He was for Barack Obama in 2008. He has stated he is more Democrat than Republican. He has stated he is pro-choice. My rotting in Hell may not surpass yours (With all due respect).
I hope so but I have to admit Sowell is something special
Ignorant or desparatly trying to disparage the Donald? Lions don’t have spots!
I love how all these Trump-deniers preface their articles with “Trump has no chance to win the nomination much less the presidency blah, blah...”. If that were the case, he would be getting the kind of column space that Mark Everson and Jim Gilmore get.
Perfectly stated, dearest xzins, but you know what?
I no longer give a rip what any pundit, columnist or journalist has to say about Mr. Trump, because they’re no different from any of us. They all have their own opinions and hidden or obvious favored candidates and agendas. Mr. Trump is the cause for all their consternation!!!
Facts are stubborn and the facts right now are that Mr. Trump is speaking the truth and he is resonating with too many of us, which is making the heretofore all-knowing elite of the MSM on both sides way to uncomfortable.
Just gosh damn, finally a voice of complete financial independence who doesn’t have to and won’t cater to them!
Mr. Trump’s appeal cuts political boundaries across and appeals to a wide swath of voters!
I think Sowell’s correct. Trump’s history speaks against him.
I was taken in ‘92 by a brash outspoken businessman who tapped our outrage ar Mr. ‘Read my lips’ and tipped the balance toward the criminal party.
(Not that either party has offered anything better since Reagan.)
Trump is still an elitist and may be playing us for fools...
... unless we (collectively) are (fools).
Sure they do. If you are old, just like the rest of us you have spots.
I dislike Bush 41 but totally hate Clinton 42. Funny how there is an equality on the two here on FR.
Being the most popular might get you to the dance... But being the most popular doesn’t mean you can dance. The current resident in the White Hut should make that painfully clear to everyone.
Cruz like a lion cub has potential. Trump has fought off his competitors thru the years. His mane is full grown with many scares to show for it! He is a survivor of many battles. Not all glorious but he lived to fight another day !
Agree!!
And, Trump has decades of executive experience, of making deals, hiring (and firing :) people - the expertise that’s needed, that no one can compare to - to turn this mess around.
Just to be clear, that outspoken businessman was Ross Perot, who appeared to go quietly into the night after the damage was done.
Will the Donald do the same?
“Truthfully, Im not sure who benefits most from Trumps shenanigans, Hillary or Jeb.”
What they will or won’t gain will just be collateral. Trump is for TRUMP and no one else.
Walker/Cruz or Cruz/Walker or Cruz/Palin or Walker/Palin all work for me. :)
“Worse yet, 36 percent of Republicans polled recently say that they would vote for Trump if he ran as a third-party candidate. That would virtually guarantee victory for Hillary Clinton. ‘The Donald’ could definitely be the Democrats’ Trump card.”
That could EASILY happen. Trump is NOT the one to lead us to a viable re-do of our current Whig Party!
*SHUDDER* on BOTH counts!
Onyx, check out new tagline.
We do Diana...we do.
As a former NYer, I have followed Trump for over 35 years. He is always looking for a bigger project.
Well, at long last, he has found one.
Check out the tagline. This is where it starts.
