Ted Cruz Says Climate Change Fears Falsified by Scientists and Politiians

Sen. Ted Cruz on Sunday said facts don’t support climate change, in a speech that described the notion as a front for power-hungry politicians who want to control Americans’ lives.

During an appearance before some of the most influential conservative donors in the country, the Texas Republican said there is no factual basis for scientists’ research that shows the planet is changing. The 2016 White House hopeful said none of the research is worth the paper it is printed on.

“If you look at satellite data for the last 18 years, there’s been zero recorded warming,” Cruz said in California’s Orange County. “The satellite says it ain’t happening.”

Instead, Cruz said, government researchers are reverse engineering data sets to falsify changes in the climate. “They’re cooking the books. They’re actually adjusting the numbers,” Cruz said. “Enron used to do their books the same way.”

Cruz said scientists four decades ago were studying “global cooling, a global ice age was coming,” and they were as wrong as those who now say the earth is warming.

“Senator, you’re not saying global warming isn’t real?” interrupted his interviewer, Politico’s Mike Allen.

“I’m saying that data and facts don’t support it,” Cruz said to applause from 450 donors to the political network organized by billionaires...(Kochs)

“Full on denial?” Allen replied, making sure he was understanding the first-term Senator.

Cruz was ready with his retort. “It is always disturbing to hear science use the language of theology. Deniers. Heretics. That’s not what sicence is supposed to be about. Science should follow the facts.”

Cruz then said the notion is being used to control the economy and energy industry in the hopes of combating of climate change. “To any power-greedy politician, this is the perfect theory. It can never, ever, ever be disproven,” Cruz said.

The thicker the atmosphere, the more light gets reflected or radiated away from the surface. So yes, the max temperature should go down during the day. At night however, the thicker atmosphere is more of a trapping blanket and the min temp goes up. The average stays the same between day and night, but the max and min tighten in a thicker atmosphere. Venus is closer to sun with higher average temp. Mars is farther from sun with lower average temp. Temps with respect to Earth average. Now temps are just an activity measure. Basically the motion of molecules. Temperature does not tell you how many molecules are moving. To understand energy density requires real science and leftist are no where close to that level yet.

Molecules should read molecules and atoms.

great job ted

from the article
Science, however, does not back up Cruz’s position. Geochemist James Lawrence Powell, an adviser to Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush, reviewed peer-reviewed science journals and found that only two articles rejected climate change during 2013. His sample size: 10,885 articles.

yes he 10,885 say climate does change it’s called weather.

I just posted the following on the other thread about this, but it is critical:

And while a lot of it is for personal gain, I think even more is a way to press for a global redistribution of wealth - which some of the global warming people even admit to. I seem to recall a quote by some U.N. person - ah - here is is as follows below:

http://news.investors.com/ibd-editorials/021015-738779-climate-change-scare-tool-to-destroy-capitalism.htm

At a news conference last week in Brussels, Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of U.N.’s Framework Convention on Climate Change, admitted that the goal of environmental activists is not to save the world from ecological calamity but to destroy capitalism.

“This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the Industrial Revolution,” she said.

Referring to a new international treaty environmentalists hope will be adopted at the Paris climate change conference later this year, she added: “This is probably the most difficult task we have ever given ourselves, which is to intentionally transform the economic development model for the first time in human history.”

A cheap parting shot by the Times.

1. Present the chain of custody documents for all numbers used in this to prove they have not been changed starting at the sensors to the final chart or graph.

2. Prove the algorithm used in manipulating the numbers into the emotionally charged charts and graphs are valid.

...and about 30 other requirements for documentation to prove things are valid and have not been changed by the money changers, anarchists, US haters, etc.

Please. Trump, while head and shoulders above most of the pack, isn’t fit to carry Cruz’s briefcase. And since VPs are traditionally the attack dogs, then Cruz-Trump could work.

Except for a few “minor” details.

1. Trump has the money to see the campaign through; Cruz doesn’t.

2. Trump is not interested in the Veep slot; Cruz would do it if asked.

3. Trump has lapped the field in poll results, including his friend Cruz. Why would anyone delude themselves that he’d bag all that and settle for Veep?
