I have Windows 8.1

I've had a start-up icon saying:

Reservation - Confirmed

Download - Complete

Upgrade - Available

And then MS prompts me to continue, but I think I'll wait awhile until I get more feedback from FReepers who have already downloaded Windows 10 to see what their results are.

Download and installed this crap-ware on Friday. It will not let me access the internet via wi-fi or cable. I have 30 days to go back to the crap 8.1. Not much of a choice. FUMS!

I upgraded a widows 7 and a windows 8 box on 7/30. I used Windows media creation tool to make 32 and 64 bit iso downloads.

Install was flawless and I turned off the WI FI sharing option.

Cortana works very well. It will open programs and apps when asked. It will bring up travel routes onthe map app using verbal requests. It will also transcribe email, very slick.

It’s Edge browser missing some options I use but can still use Internet Explorer and Firefox.

The new start menu works well. I use GodMode to access every setting on my machines.

So far, I've gotten three service calls for NVIDIA/AMD video issues, one of which corrupted the user's drivers so bad he couldn't navigate the screen. A couple of others in Edge that hosed the users' legacy IE 11 settings, and one that just caused a PC to start blinking a blue screen at the 8.1 Start menu and wouldn't let the user access her tiles to even get to her desktop. And that was just a post-download issue what cropped up when it was applying Windows updates. I'm sure more fun and hidden Easter eggs from this 'gift' to the unwashed masses will manifest themselves. My advice is, wait until the first round of Win 10 service updates are ready before upgrading. I do not like what I've been seeing out there so far.
