Voting for Virgil Goode in 2012 was a vote thrown away, yet at least it was in Tennessee, where the majority of voters had the good common sense to award Tennessee’s electoral votes to the only candidate with a chance of defeating Obama and not re electing him as POTUS where he can do whatever he pleases as CIC.

Are you a bot ? You seem incapable of discussion beyond repeating the dusty R-bot talking points from 2008 and 2012.

Must vote Willard, must vote McQueeg !

Must vote Willard, must vote McQueeg !

Must vote Willard, must vote McQueeg !

DERP !

The only conservative vote that is thrown away is a vote for a liberal.

Voting for Barack Insane Obozo at any time in ANY election against ANY opponent would be "a vote thrown away."

Voting for Wlllard Mitt Romney at any time in ANY election against ANY opponent would be "a vote thrown away."

Ditto: Gerald Ford, Bush the Elder, Robert (Tax Collector for the Welfare State" Dole and John McCain and George McGovern, Jimmuh Peanut, Walter Mondale, Michael Dukakis, Slick Willie, Algore, John F'n (Did you know he served in Vietnam?) Kerry.

There are no more Democrats of the stripe of Hubert Humphrey, Henry Jackson, Daniel Patrick Moynihan, who, as liberals, were often wrong but always patriots serving the public interest rather than their personal interests. There are da*ned few Republicans of any value either. Like their Congressional leaders, most Congresscritters of BOTH parties are money-grubbing slaves of Wall Street, K Street and the US Chambers of Crony Commerce. They are scared cowardly little creatures, living in the shadows and hoping not be noticed lest, God forbid, they might be criticized.

Increasingly, Americans of all persuasions are totally fed up with the trash in public office, financed and owned by the aforementioned corrupt $$$$ interests. Time to take out the trash.

I voted for McCain in 2008, telling myself that it was a vote for Sarah Palin. That was the eleventh time (1968 to 2008) that I voted Republican for POTUS. Except for Nixon over McGovern in 1972, Reagan in 1980 and 1988, and maybe Dubya in 2000 and 2004, it was a bad habit.

After repeated heated exchanges between Eternal Vigilance and me here on FR, I became convinced that he was right and I voted for him in 2012. You may claim that I was "throwing my vote away." I tell you that I was voting my conscience and my principles and, in however many years God may grant me, I will vote my conscience EVERY TIME. The graft-ridden zombie of a political party once known as "Republican" will get no default votes from me NO MATTER WHOM THE DEMONRATS MAY NOMINATE.

I trust that fieldmarshaldj's vote for Goode over the twin major party evils was produced by similar motives to my own.

What you want us to do is hold an ongoing fire sale of our principles and our consciences in service to the $$$$ interests. I am a social issue conservative first and foremost, a military and foreign policy hawk, a 2nd Amendment enthusiast, and, about nine miles down the road, something of an economic conservative as well. If you can think of other issue groupings, I am probably a conservative on those as well.

What finally ripped it for me was the nomination by the oceans of Wall Street $$$$ of an absolute POS named Willard Mitt Romney who was in most ways just as bad as the Demonrat POS Obozo and in some ways even worse. You will express amazement that ANYONE could be even worse than Obozo believing that any old "Republican" POS, even Romney, was a smidgeon better and therefore preferable. If you actually believe that Romney was a good man and a good candidate, we are left to wonder why you want to be here on a website for actual conservatives.

The absolutely conclusive case against Romney has been stated and restated here for years. It is every bit as conclusive as the case against Obozo. What annoys you is the fact that actual conservatives have higher standards than do Romney love slaves. That's your cue to earnestly claim that you supported someone else in the rigged primaries. So what? You voted for Romney which is every bit as damning as would be a vote for Obozo. There ain't a dime's worth of difference between the two of them other than whose friends get the loot.

Fieldmarshaldj voted for Goode over the two evils. I voted for Eternal Vigilance over the two evils. You voted for evil in GOP-E drag. You are in no position to lecture conservatives for being conservative. There are more of us with each passing GOP-E nomination. 4 million last time. How many million this time in the event of Jebbie or his equivalent? More than 4 million. That's for sure.

These are supposed to be elections of POTUS not POSUS. Maybe this time the GOP will get its act together and nominate a fire-breathing conservative. If not, say hello to President Hillary.

If the 2016 nomination is purchased by the $$$$ obsessive and utterly unprincipled greedheads, the GOP loses again but that is far preferable to the final demise of the GOP as a party dedicated to resisting the leftist agenda.
