I doubt that it was condoms but I recall a similar idea in a letter to my county paper opposing those deer hunts on county land, he said that ‘contraceptives’ would be a better way of controlling the deer population than these hunts.

I recall wondering how that could possibly work.

Seeing a few dead and wounded deer on the road after being hit by cars should bring common sense to these anti-deer hunters,
