Okay. Thinking back, how many presidential nominations has it been since California had a say in the nomination process. I cant remember it has been so long. Among Republicans, Reagan held California's delegates in 1968 as a "favorite son" when he was still governor. Deukmejian considered in 1988. That's the last I recall. In an open convention, it would carry a lot of weight.

I agree. Not sure it should. Unless you can count heavily on crossover votes, the Democrat will win California handily. The Republican candidate won’t even compete here.
Trump takes California by a 10% margin in the general election.
