Sigh. I understand. I just hate all of this.

I was listening to a podcast by the author of “White Girl Bleed A Lot” (Colin Flaherty) and he made the point (when referring to the media’s and most major politician’s conscious choice to, when seeing racially based black on white mob violence, completely act as if it is totally random, without explanation, or attribute it to youthful indiscretion) of asking:

Who is crazier: the racist scum laughingly and enthusiastically committing the violence, or the media, politicians and talking heads who have trained themselves to wonder about the randomness and inscrutability of the racist, violent nature of the crimes?

I look at Donald Trump and the media, politicians and talking heads who lambaste him, and ask myself the same question, in much the same way...who is more insane?

“...talking heads who have trained themselves...”

I think it’s less insanity and more towards cowardice.

Grown men afraid of being called a word. Political correctness is designed to shut off debate and silence opposition. It only works when people agree to “behave” with it. And people behave accordingly, typically, because they have something to lose and they’re afraid of the consequences.

I think that’s why Trump resonates with folks. No one owns him, he knows, they know it, and his opposition knows it as well - so far, they have no Damocles’ sword to hang over him, and it’s making them froth.

We’re all put here for a reason; half the battle of our lives is spent learning that reason; the other half is (or should be) spent in the pursuit of achieving it. Some folks NEVER realize either of those.

Maybe Trump’s found his reason.
