The arrival of intense cold similar to what some call the "Little Ice Age" of the late 17th century and early 18th century, is expected in the years 2030 to 2040, according to a presentation during the National Astronomy Meeting in Wales.

Several studies have shown that the Maunder Minimum coincided with the coldest phase of global cooling, which was called "the Little Ice Age". During this period there were very cold winters in Europe and North America. In the days of the Maunder minimum the water in the river Thames and the Danube River froze, the Moscow River was covered by ice every six months, snow lay on some plains year round and Greenland was covered by glaciers," says Dr Helen Popova, who developed a physical-mathematical model of the evolution of the magnetic activity of the sun and used it to gain the patterns of occurrence of global minima of solar activity and gave them a physical interpretation.

"There is no strong evidence that global warming is caused by human activity. The study of deuterium in the Antarctic showed that there were five global warmings and four Ice Ages for the past 400 thousand years. People first appeared on the Earth about 60,000 years ago. However, even if human activities influence the climate, we can say, that the Sun with the new minimum gives humanity more time or a second chance to reduce their industrial emissions and to prepare, when the Sun will return to normal activity."

Newsmax has a good documentary this morning at 11AM CST about this very topic. Called Dark Winter, lots of good info and explanations of what is really happening.
The sun has just entered a “dormant” 206 year cycle, where solar activity and sunspots will decrease, resulting in colder weather. Simple as that, all the global warming hype is just that, hype. They call it “climate change” now, because literally all of Gore’s global warming predictions fell through in a big way.
Right now, according to Gore, both polar ice caps should be long gone. Nope. New York and Miami should be several feet underwater from all that melted ice. Nope...
I don’t remember a lot of the other details, I believed it until I noticed the ice caps were still here and summer hadn’t got above 104ºF again. While Gore was bleating about global warming I was getting summer temps of 106º and 108º here in this same yard, so it was easy to believe...not any more.

Global Warming driven by the evil Man-Made-See-Oh-Two morphed into Climate change. Is there any doubt that Climate Change will morph into Global Cooling when the time comes?

Not this again. I remember this from the 60s. She doesn’t look that old. But thanks to those morons my first new car was a ‘73 Mustang Mach 1 that had maybe 15 or 16 horsepower. It could break the speed limit, but bring your lunch because it took awhile.
It’s going to take a lot more energy to stay warm, than to stay cool. Not to mention that stuff that grows (trees, plants, etc) tend to prefer warmer temperatures.

When I was in high school in 1960, they told us that we were only 15 or 20 years from a mini-Ice Age caused by a solar activity low. The 15-20 years came and went and nothing happened. Why should I be alarmed now? It’s alarmist mongering for the sake of sensationalism and filling news space.
