Can we be honest about illegal immigration?
It is a common challenge to almost every advanced Western country that is adjacent to poorer nations.
American employers and ethnic activists have long colluded to weaken border enforcement and render immigration law meaningless. The former wanted greater profits from cheaper labor, the latter wished more political clout for themselves.
Mexico conspired, too. It received billions of easy dollars in remittances from its expatriates in America. Mexico had few qualms about letting millions of its own citizens illegally cross its northern border into the United States -- even though the Mexican government would never tolerate millions of Central Americans illegally crossing the border to become permanent residents of Mexico.
For better or worse, illegal immigration is tied to race and ethnicity. No doubt, ignorant racism drives some to oppose illegal immigration. But by the same token, the advocates of open borders, many of them with strong ties to Mexico, would not be so energized about the issue if hundreds of thousands of Europeans or Africans were entering the U.S. illegally each year.

Remove any incentive(s) in the first place for people who want more of them here and people who come here.

The only ‘sensible’ approach is deport them all. The actual approach taken, I’m afraid, will be far from sensible.....
Democrats love them because they increase the dependent and crime problems in America making them Democrat voters for sure.
The cost on average for every one of their kids about $15,000 per child to educate.
So that is 15k every year times the number of kids in the tens of millions.
Often the illegal or resident parents are all over the hand out government benefits. Maybe $600 per kid, EBT, free insurance, WIC and sometimes housing.
The legal residents are supposed to be 125% above the poverty line or get booted out, but instead get public assistance and learn the ropes about getting disability, unemployment and filing often illegal tax returns in the many thousands of dollars using the child tax credit falsely.
What do we need to do?
#1 Build an F’ing wall where we need it.
#2 Restrict far further the humanitarian reasons allowed for entering illegally and getting to stay. I don't care if they want the right to come here and become a lesbian shemale like Jenner.
#3 Totally stop giving financial and other support to illegals and their children. Just capture them and take them to their embassy's for removal. At some point bill the countries for their expenses.
#4 Give different education to illegals. One teacher per school and a big tent outside where they get to sit all day and learn math and English with no exposure to real students. We have to stop reducing education to citizens due to trying to catch illegals up.
#5 If anyone of them get in to be legal, keep a record of their expenses through the time of their financial independence and bill them all their life for the cost of their methods of getting here, including billing the children as adults. Make a financial burden to be here that makes coming here illegally very unattractive.
#6 Make English the official language of the United States and stop catering and enabling immigrants to never blend in.
Also, we are making the non Hispanic USA citizen labor market unemployable for not speaking Spanish which kills all the jobs for uneducated citizen whites and minorities like blacks.
0. Illegal aliens! What part of ILLEGAL cannot be understood? It is the opposite of LEGAL.
1. Enforce the current laws. Enforce our borders against illegal aliens.
2. Deport illegal aliens AND their family members whenever found.
3. Build and effective series of fences on our Southern border. Nothing gets past.
4. All immigration STOPS dead for ten years until this illegal mess is sorted out.
5. All illegal aliens in American prisons who've committed crimes against Americans are deported back to their homelands to serve out the remainder of their prison time there.
6. All U.S. employers must verify the status of any foreign workers. Hiring illegal aliens subjects the owner(s ) of the company to prison and company to very stiff fines. This also applies to private party hiring (primarily of domestics and other help).
7. If you are an illegal alien and are caught, ICE will take your biometrics before deportation. You can apply to enter the country legally and wait your turn like everyone else. If caught a second time, then it's 10 years in prison and deportation. You or your family are permanently barred from legally immigrating to America.

Sure seems that way bears. Now a couple of recent articles where he is drifting left. And not in a “sensible” way.

They are not Illegal Immigrants, they are Criminal Aliens, every last one of them.
First, secure the border. Then we can talk about a next step.
But no “comprehensive” anything.
Immigration from one country, Mexico, is 2.5 times that of many countries combined.
I've taken the figures from the above table at cis.org and graphed them.
Note the sharp increase in immigration from Mexico and how that differs from all other regions' increase. Note also the sharp decline in immigration from Europe while all other regions have increased.
We already have a sensible approach. Send the freeloaders and their diseases home and have them stand in line with everyone else waiting to come to America.
Sensible and iron fisted are here synonyms, or should be.
That would be a start.
Then we have to do the same to Moslems, legal or illegal, of whatever provenance. Ship them to Iran.
Call up the Militia and have the people turn them in. $5,000 a head for an illegal with a $25,000 penalty for a false arrest. Issue that order and clear the roads to the border to deal with the traffic. Think of the boon to the airline industry!
This is about the media’s double standard.

No immigrants of any sort for 10 years. Close the door. Clean out the illegals. Then think about opening the main door back up but with a fine screened door still shut and latched.

Arrest, try, and convict the employers. Then put them in jail and confiscate their assets.
Side note: Italy needs to use its air force to sink a couple of those overladen vessels bringing thousands of invaders from Algeria instead of rescuing them when they capsize. Sinking a couple will save a lot of lives at the expense of a couple of boatloads because the ships will stop coming and the “tragedies” of capsize and breakup will cease.
