The University of Cincinnati is reportedly closed down this afternoon as police officers prepare for potential riots over the death of an unarmed man who was killed by university cops during a traffic stop last week.
Samuel Dubose, 43, who is black, was shot and killed by white UC Officer Ray Tensing after Tensing reported that he was dragged by Duboses vehicle and had to fire. The shooting, called not good by Cincinnati Police Chief Jeffrey Blackwell, was captured on Tensings body camera and is set to be released today:

“This office has probably reviewed upwards of hundreds of police shootings, and this is the first time we’ve thought this is without question a murder.” -Joe Deters, Hamilton County Prosecutor.
The rank right up there with Prison Guards that failed the pysch. test to become a Cop, so they become full time babysitters. The Sanford Prison Experiments are a good example of what happens to those that aren't balanced in the head to begin with.
I remember that, it turns out that the kid that was killed was an honor student. Of course he was white so it was quickly forgotten.
There are just some people around here who love the taste of boot polish.
I still can’t find the video link, can someone post a direct link, please?
They showed the video.
Looks like a normal stop: “no front license plate”. Driver hands over a bottle of gin (!) at one point (methinks little will be said regarding what could have turned into a drunk-driving charge). Actual shooting content is VERY short, we need a good copy to go thru frame-by-frame. What concerns me is how the driver put his hand on the car door (window rolled down) in a way that he could shove the door open very fast & hard.
Presenter is going all-out to blame the cop, so far as stating cop _wanted_ to shoot the guy and was looking for an excuse/cover to. “Every occupation has people who shouldn’t be doing it.” Declares driver did nothing violent, though I’m really unclear about whether the door was opened (in conjunction with gin issue, perhaps).
Thanks for that report!
I don't think it's posted anywhere yet. They showed it in the room in the prosecutor's press conference (and thus on the livestream of the press conference), and the prosecutor's office is going to release the video to the press, but I don't know when.
The analogy is not the best one. Those of us against the horrors of Planned Parenthood Baby Parts videos are not as likely to go burning down buildings, terrorizing any white pedestrian we see, or looting our favorite retailers as a way to show our disgust and disapproval.
We are not nearly as likely to lay down on the public road and highway and refuse to get up, just to get attention. We are not busing in (Soros paid for) anarchist groups who will be looking for ‘space to destroy’ So no, the comparisson is not equal.
Do you folks even read what you write? Rent-a-cop shoots the guy, for no apparent reason, and your concern is that he "put his hand on the car door" in a way that he COULD "shove the door open very fast & hard."
I guess.
Cop has turned himself in to authorities.
That’s not what happened.
The prosecutor said he was shot, and the victim was killed immediately and the victim involuntarily leans forward and obviously his gas.
He said the victim was dead immediately when shot. The cop ran after a car occupied by a dead man....
I am surprised the cop didn’t take himself out.
I'm waiting until I hear/see some actual evidence one way or the other before I can even think about coming up with a conclusion. I guess you've taken a bit of a short cut in that process.
Shoot someone who is complying with his lawful commands. Pretty simple, really.
So I guess if I missed it, I’ll have to wait like every one else.
Community Organizers at work.
One of the Cincy newsbabes tweeted they won’t release the video to the public until tomorrow. They just showed it at the Presser today.
In Portland, OR they are considerate enough to schedule their potential riots in advance.
