What’s the point of hunting down and killing an old lion?

Is it just so you can say “I did it”?

It doesn’t matter to me if it was ‘legal’, under the circumstances, or not.

I just wonder about the man’s soul...

Its called wildlife management. The permit presumably existed because there was an excess of lions in the area.

I just wonder about the man’s soul.

Why? Because he was providing a needed service?
