Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) has filed a motion to try to force Speaker John Boehner from his leadership post. The move, called a motion to vacate the chair, represents a new level of opposition to GOP leadership from the conservative wing of the House Republican Conference. The motion can be postponed for several days before consideration.
The resolution was filed late Tuesday afternoon, just one day before the House was slated to depart for its summer recess.

Republicans in the House caucus can’t come near to enough votes to overthrow Boehner, or they would have.
What they have is enough votes to deny him the Speakership in the whole House vote. The speaker must get an absolute majority. No Democrat is going to support Boehner. Dems would also like to see him humiliated. The idea is to make fellow GOPers punish Boehner by agreeing to a compromise candidate.

So it’s *not* a privileged motion.

Dems would like to see him humiliated but NOT removed. That would be a win-win for them.
According to a report it was not filed as a privileged motion so there is no requirement to vote on it in a certain time period.

The only way any of them could “redeem themselves” is to get behind this effort to oust the crybaby and support it 110%.
They’re too outright stupid, or too heavily blackmailed, to do it.
Nothing will happen.... that’s reality unless there’s a real revolution to get this country back.

The actions of the GOP leadership after the 2014 elections indicate that they do not want to be in the majority. I think that boner and his cronies just care about the bribes and insider deals they can get from banksters and globalist corporations.
The GOPe doesn’t care about the constitution, free markets, small business, civil rights, national sovereignty, in other words, all the things that matter to the little people.

If Boehner wants to stay he will be protected by Pelosi. She will release enough ‘Rats to vote for him to make up for the conservative nays. Boehner is basically a zombie that Pelosi controls anyway.

Think about that for a moment. The only way the cheetoh can stay in office is if the rats support him.
