Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) has filed a motion to try to force Speaker John Boehner from his leadership post. The move, called a motion to vacate the chair, represents a new level of opposition to GOP leadership from the conservative wing of the House Republican Conference. The motion can be postponed for several days before consideration.
The resolution was filed late Tuesday afternoon, just one day before the House was slated to depart for its summer recess.

Get your Boo Hoo ass out of here No Balls Boehner...!!!
Did the same with mine here in N. GA(collins). Told him to go ahead and switch parties and that I planned to do everything in my power to prevent his re-election. He called here a few days later but I was out (had a Dr. apt.)
I never returned his call.
Yup. I have had Roger’s admin assistant call me several times when I have clobbered them. Always the same ole, same ole. Excuses, whines, same thing every time. Makes you sick to listen to a bunch of lazy punks who refuse to stand up to a bunch to the lying, socialists of the commie dimocrat party. Makes me want to puke.
Dear Mr. (RetiredArmy):
Like many of you, I was shocked to see the footage of a top Planned Parenthood employee discussing alterations of their abortion procedures to obtain certain organs to sell to companies conducting research.
This video was appalling.
As a Christian and a pro-life Member of Congress, I strongly support investigating Planned Parenthood.
That is why I signed on as an original cosponsor, along with 80 of my colleagues, of H.R. 3134, the Defund Planned Parenthood Act of 2015.
This legislation would immediately stop all Federal funding of Planned Parenthood for a year so Congress can conduct a full investigation of their actions brought to light by the recent video.
I also cosigned a letter thanking the Chairmen of the Judiciary and Energy and Commerce Committees for holding a joint hearing concerning the illegal selling of fetal tissue by Planned Parenthood.
As a member of the Pro- Life caucus, I will continue to fight to protect the rights of unborn children.
As always, my staff and I are here to serve you.
Sincerely,
Mike Rogers
Replace the Crier of the House with a real Speaker who understands that the people “across the aisle” are the enemy.
I’m sorry but I’m not too optimistic about this. I see it as a show and good old cry baby Boehner will not go anywhere.
Call me Nostradamus...

Dear Mr. Augie,
Thank you for contacting me regarding the Speakership of the House for the 114th Congress. The decision for the Speaker of the House is an important one, and I appreciate the time and effort you took to share your concerns with me on this vital issue. I, too, share many of your concerns and have been working behind the scenes to make the changes we, in MO-04, want.
In the months leading up to our organizing conference in November, 2014, I visited with several colleagues about a new direction for leadership. However, at our conference, viable alternatives to the Speakership position declined to run and John Boehner was selected as our leader. Our Republican conference has been moving forward since setting our conservative agenda and working with the Senate on plans to rein in this president and get our country back on track.
Recently, there was an attempt by one of my colleagues, Rep. Mark Meadows, to remove Speaker John Boehner. On July 28, 2015, Rep. Meadows offered a motion to vacate the chair of the Speaker. This sort of move has not been made for around a century, and surprised many Conservative House members including me. At a time when we should be focused on opposing the president’s agenda, now is not the time for such a move midway through the Session.
With a Republican-controlled House and Senate for the first time in eight years, we have the opportunity to finally get things doneinitiatives we believe in. Now is not the time to be divided, but instead unite and fight against the president’s harmful policies. A united team committed to advancing our conservative ideals and positive solutions is vital in this fight. We must remain focused on fighting the president’s policies and not each other. That’s how we will be successful. With the previous Democratic-led Senate, many significant bills passed in the House were not even brought up for consideration. So far this Congress, we have already moved many previously stalled bills forward, and I look forward to continuing to work with my colleagues here in the House to get America moving again!
As always, I greatly appreciate hearing your concerns and perspectives. Please do not hesitate to contact me in the future on other issues important to you and your community. It is a privilege to be your voice in Congress.
With best regards, I remain,
Very truly yours,
