Trump Represents Grass-Roots Anger (David Limbaugh)

The long-simmering disconnect between the Republican Party's conservative base and its leaders in government has degenerated into a full-blown schism.

While President Obama accelerates his increasingly radical agenda, the GOP, despite its congressional majority, can barely muster an objection, let alone block his momentum. Other than to offer a toothless public rebuke of Obama's destructive schemes, what was the point of the 2014 GOP congressional landslide?

It's no longer just a small percentage of conservatives questioning the GOP. Our people are furious and rightly so. I've recently shared my opinion that Donald Trump's explosive surge is because of his giving voice to the conservative base's outrage and his refusal to be chastened or muzzled.

*snip*

Well, for a long time, I've held my tongue; I've given the leadership the benefit of the doubt and resisted impugning the party leaders' motives, even when I strongly registered my objection to their perpetual caving. But I can no longer assume the best of people who are not simply failing to retard Obama's agenda but, in many cases, facilitating it.

Exactly.

Trump was at least smart enough to notice the tremendous anger building up in concerned Americans about the tsunami of illegals pouring into the country. He can say that because he doesn’t hold a public office. Doesn’t say much for the gutless Pubbie weasels currently in office. They’re too concerned about their careers. Opportunity over honor.

David Limbaugh has nailed it on this one. I am as mad at the “Republican” leadership for their constant treason as at Obama for his.
With regard to the 2016 presidential election, I'll have to write in a candidate, if the pubbies try to stick up another RINO. My question on that is whether to write in Cruz or Walker. Cruz is more in line with my thinking, but will have a tough time with this rotten Congress.

That would be a plus, rather than a minus.

People seem electrified. Some are shocked.

That’s the current.

But there have been a battery of assaults, across the electron-ic media highways.

A conservative definition of insanity would be to trust the GOP again.

I HAVE HAD IT! Kentucky should be ashamed of voting the turtle in again...Thad Cochran, McCain, how many others have won their primaries by being more brutal on their fellow Republican than they ever have been on a rat.
