The Jeb Bush experiment continues to be fascinating to watch. As you may recall, Bush said not long ago that a GOP presidential candidate needs to be prepared to lose the primary in order to win the general election implicitly suggesting that he will not fall victim to the dynamic that claimed Mitt Romney.
Heres the latest example of Jeb Bush employing that strategy: He audaciously suggested that as a general matter, GOP primary voters are hostile to compromise. The New York Times reports on a Bush appearance in Orlando, Florida:
We need men and women of good will forging consensus, starting to solve problems, kind of building back the muscles of consensus, compromise and solution-finding to fix these things, Mr. Bush told a group of businesspeople here, lamenting what he called a paralyzed democracy.
Apparently that is dangerous in a Republican primary, he added, but its what I believe.

Some things are just not negotiable, like the Constitution and the concept of Rule of Law, not Men or H->.

Decades and decades of “Grand Bargains” have brought this country
to the brink.
Also for RINO’s like Bush, compromise means conservatives throwing
in the towel EVERY time.

Yeah. If your core principle is compromise what are people to think you stand for? Even if they ever figure out what you stand for how do they know you won’t sell it down the river in some sort of compromise?
How about he compromise and instead of running for President he run for dog catcher.

Seriously, I want to know - badly - who here at Free Republic thinks hes their guy? Will actually vote for him?I will not, under any circumstances, vote for Bush. If he's the GOP nominee I will pray for a Trump/Cruz ticket and vote for Trump.

You can bet they are here.
They are laying low. And if Bush happens to win the nomination,
they will surface with the vote for “lessor evil” nonsense.

I'm OK with compromise in the
right direction as a tactic..
Such as proposing to cut EPA regulations by 100 percent, and compromising to only 94 percent.
To: jimbo123
That’s how we got here.
Now go away loser.

To a Democrat in an R jersey like ¡Yeb!, compromise means giving the left what they want.
The GOP has a death wish if they nominate this guy, he’s even worse than McAmnesty and Romneycare.
