For the past six weeks, an overarching concern for the Republican Party has been the impact that Donald Trump might have on the GOP primary election particularly the damage he could do on the debate stage by turning an already unmanageable 10-candidate forum into a full-on circus.
On Sunday, though, Trump himself gave one of the clearest examples yet of why his candidacy is doomed to fail, and why, if handled properly, the debate stage could be his Waterloo.
Trump called in to CNN's State of the Union on Sunday morning to speak with host Jake Tapper.
Much of the appearance was, in fact, more of a Trumpian soliloquy, which appears to be his favorite form of expression, than an interview. When Tapper was eventually able to interrupt him and press for some policy specifics, however, the cracks in Trump's façade quickly became evident.

I am not Trump supporter, but I’ll say this. His campaign will be over when enough of the American people decide that they will not elect him, and not until then, and if that never happens, then his campaign won’t be over.
No one is listening to the damned media on anything, and no one should.
Not only that.
No one is listening to millions of conservatives, fed up with open borders.
Well Said.
I do not support Trump either but he definately has done the political process a service....he has changed the narrative such that the important topics that should and need to be discussed are now in the forfront of the debate.
Cruz is my man and Trump has opened the door good and wide for him to burst through and out of the pack.
That’s true, I absolutely agree.
In fact, I am at a point where I am ready for anyone aiding or advancing open borders or any politician pandering for illegal alien votes to be arrested and put in jail.
I don’t care if we have to make a new law for such or whatever, but I am not interested in the government that I pay for trying to remanufacture the population to benefit itself.
I have had it with this crap.
Thank you kindly ^^.
Any substance to this guy is a millimeter deep
Trump is the GOP’s Howard Dean
Is this the end of Trump number three, four, or five? I’ve lost track.
I’m not a Trump supporter, but after the Senate’s betrayal of conservatives today, I’d love to watch him deck Mitch McConnell on live TV...
;>)
Cooper: Do you think that happens to African Americans more than it does to you or I?
Trump: I hope it doesn't but, it might. And, you know, I have a great relationship with African Americans, as you possibly have heard. I just have great respect for them and you know they like me. I like them. The answer is, it possibly does. It shouldn't and its very sad if the case is. ... I will say though in this case I watched that so closely. I watched it a few times. He was terrible.
Unless I misread Donald Trump's meaning, this is straight of the communist-inspired #blacklivesmatter movement. It seems he's buying into the liberal lie that blacks are specifically targeted by police. They aren't and haven't been since the 1960s when long-gone racist DemonKKKrats such as Bull Conner were around.
Study after study has disproved that "Driving While Black" even exists. Far more whites are arrested by police than blacks. The reality is that blacks are treated as a privileged class, nearly untouchable by LEOs.
You’re generous.
Make it a double-header and add Harry Reid.
True, but I’d love to watch anybody deck Mitch McConnell on live TV.
lol
The most important thing he has done is shown that you don't have to grovel and apologize for simply telling the truth. That seriously frightens the politically "correct."
Yeah, and make Reid give Trump back the money he gave Reid to get elected!
