Where would a mentally insane “person” get an idea to shoot people in a movie theater gun free zone? Could it be the massive worldwide media coverage that the media gives to each and every time a sick moron shoots someone? YES .It's the news media putting these ideas into the sick monster's minds in the first place. Even with the mass shooting media egging them on still less people die from mass shooting then from falling down stairs. So ban stairs/sarcasm.

There's only a handful of these sick creeps shooting people per year but the media gives each world wide fame when that many get killed in chicago every week.

Also 99% of these mentally ill psychos who shoot people in “public” places kill themselves. so no one paid attention ever to these losers. they want to commit suicide any but they want world wide fame that the news media gives them. the media shouldn't report this crap especially to this extent. The news media gnore the trade deal and all the crimes Obama is doing but give massive unending coverage to every psycho that shoots people . the media has an agenda and is the enemy of the people.

The big key fact that people seem to miss is that if he is, indeed, mentally ill, and has previous diagnoses of mental illness, then he is already not allowed to own a gun.

This is a clear instance where gun control laws failed to prevent a shooter from shooting up a movie theater.

All the laws did was limit a normal person’s defense against the criminal.
