If you are unsure of the parents identity then the section can be left blank, or filled in as unknown or John/Jane Doe. Thats not an acceptable reason for denying a kid a birth certificate. I completely disagree. A birth certificate is close to meaningless without the names and birthplaces of the biological parents. That goes for all the gay and lesbian couples who want to replace the facts of the child's biological origins, as well. Otherwise we are bending the truth standard and trashing valuable medical and epidemiologic data that should be accurate and should outlast the lifespan of the individual.

Because the 14th amendment doesn’t exist or say what it clearly says?

VERY sad.
I still say if a baby is born in an American hospital he or she is going to get a birth certificate. Whether or not it’s valid is another matter.

I was wondering how long it would take and who it would be to sling the first insult. I was betting on you. I was right.
Why is it that some on here, people like you, cannot have a civil debate without hurling insults?

I don’t feel like reading the entire thread so how long did it take for you get insulted for posting something others disagree with?

It varies, but on this thread not long at all. It’s all good though. Some subjects produce strong opinions and my feelings are not easily hurt. At least not in an online forum.

Texas needs to issue them birth certificates. They don't have to do jack squat if they don't have the proper documentation.

Do you feel your opinions are that far out of the mainstream of thought around here?
